you go to the gun fort idol the one before the centipede giraffe boss

and you walk back infront of the doorway there will be a big shotgun guy

wich you can backstab wich will net you 297 exp some sen and sometimes gunpowder or other items then you run back to the idol rest and do it again

I used a similar tactic at the Poison Pool idol in Ashina Depths. I climb up and backstab the cannon wielder near the idol. Except he gives around 300+ EXP. But I now found a better way which involves farming the two Nightjar Ninja illusions near the Hidden Forest Idol (right after the Headless Ape arena) I get 600+ EXP from both of them and they are quite easy to kill.

@Portalfreek to 100 % the game mainly, and also the ashina style skill tree has a lot of beneficial passsive abilities that are worth all the points.

You can backstab, ninjitsu, backstab the same guy to the right, backstab gunner at the top, then the old lady and another 297xp dude outside to the right. Get a bit more for the run

@portalfreek it will actually help you since you can get extra posture resistance, extra healing, certain moves that are handy and could save your life, etc also git gud

Who the hell needs to farm xp in this game? Getting more abilities isn't going to help you if you're getting stomped anyway.

i havnt reached that far yet and looking for other guides this was the one i could get the most exp from

Or go a bit further in game and get 500 exp per kill
