Description
It's finally done. A slightly scaled down VSS Unity. SpaceShipTwo and its carrier plane WhiteKnightTwo are Virgin Galactic's attempt at space tourism. There's no space in the game (yet?) but it's still fun to try and recreate the mission.



Features:
- SOLO Mode: Fly both aircraft from SpaceShipTwo until you're ready to launch
- Altitude holding
- Double cockpits, both fully functional
- Fully accurate feathering system for reentering the atmosphere. Don't deploy it too early though ;_;
- Launch sequence and countdown
- Hidden refueling panel
- Full interior and paintable blocks


Instructions:
- Hop in the middle fuselage (VSS Unity) and press the SOLO MODE button. This will let you fly both aircraft.
- You can use UP/DOWN to control the carrier airplane's throttle
- Landing gear and altitude hold can be activated with [1] and [2] in any seat or with the cockpit buttons
- When you're at a decent altitude and with altitude-hold on, enable launch and press the button. After a 3 second countdown, spaceshiptwo is released and the rocket engine ignited. You have only a few seconds of fuel, just like the real one.
- After engine cutoff, engage the feathering system to reenter the atmosphere
- Deploy the landing gear and find somewhere to land. As you'll see, the thing doesn't glide well, or at all. Devs pls fix aero physics.

Disclaimer: The thing doesn't glide at all. It basically falls like a brick after engine cutoff, so don't expect to land it, you'll probably just flat spin into the ocean. It's the game's engine that doesn't like gliding aircraft, sorry.

-You can also fly in the carrier plane (both cockpits work) and launch an unmanned spaceshiptwo, but as it flies away your plane WILL despawn. You can use the mission version linked below if you want to do this and keep flying whiteknighttwo


Multiplayer use:
Use the mission version if you want to play in multiplayer (or fly the carrier airplane in singleplayer) otherwise it will vehicles will despawn as they fly away. https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1698202109

Small revision (march 31): Fixed missing/wrong paintblocks there and there and moved the feather system's hinge back. This makes recovering controlled flight after using it actually somewhat possible.
