There is going to be very little chance that it breaks after an update.
Just ignore the CA Mod Manager saying it is out of date (if anything, use Kaedrins mod manager instead)

The answer is 99% no, the mod changes exactly one line of campaign variables 'occupation_decision_colonise_soldiers_percentage_lost'
to 100 meaning you keep 100% of your army when colonising. Not once in 3 years have CA touched this variable so you are pretty safe to keep this subscribed.
This variable is linked to exactly 0 lords or map provinces or anything else that CA might change or add. This will only break if CA changes the variable name which I would rate as 0% risk.
