I Dare You! (Abandoned)

Description
Lets players dare each other for random things.
Version: 1.1.0b

Concept
The server will roll two people. One selecting a dare and a victim for the dare.
A dare might be something like 'don't block', 'don't dodge' or 'jump continuously'.
Each dare is active for 10-60 seconds ( times can be configured in mod options ).
If the victim fails to comply it gets punished.
If the victim gets knocked down or killed the dare ends.
After a dare ended the server will roll two new players and the next one starts.

Settings
Mode
- Party: The whole party needs the mod installed and activated for it to work.
- Minimum: At least two people in the party need the mod installed and activated.
- Alone: You can play the mod alone and dare yourself.

Dares
- Jump continuously: Victim has to jump continuously until the dare ends.
- Stay on the ground: Victim isn't allowed to jump or fall.
- Don't block: Victim isn't allowed to block.
- Don't dodge: Victim isn't allowed to dodge.
- Don't use melee: Victim isn't allowed to do melee attacks.
- Don't equip ranged: Victim isn't allowed to equip the ranged weapon.
- Don't quick switch: Victim isn't allowed to press the melee / ranged quick switch button.
- Don't use skill: Victim isn't allowed to use their skill.
- Don't push: Victim isn't allowed to use melee pushes.
- Drop grim: Victim is forced to drop the grim or endure the punishment.
- Don't use item: Victim isn't allowed to use heal items, potions or grenades.
- Don't ping enemies or items: Victim isn't allowed to ping anything. ( Added in 1.0.8b )

Punishments
- Damage: The victims health is damaged.
- Catapult: The victim is catapulted in a random direction.

Not every dare has every punishment.
Specific punishments can be deactivated for specific dares in the options.
All punishment types except 'damage' can be deactivated in general for all dares.

Party Dares
One dare in the selection can be a party dare that will affect everyone using the mod.
This feature can be turned off and the percentual chance can be set in the mod options.
Party dares are displayed in yellow text in the selection.

New update. 1.1.0b:
- Dare server shouldn't start anymore if the option in settings is switched off
grasmann  [author] 5 Apr, 2019 @ 7:53am
So I realized there is an issue that you can't deactivate the mod at all.
I purposefully didn't make the mod itself toggleable.
We wouldn't want people to regret playing with it and switching it off in the middle of a game, would we? XP
But at the beginning of the mission I forgot to check for the "I dare you!" option.
You can still switch it off, just not during a game, in the keep.
Although that option isn't checked at all. XD
I'm gonna update this, but until then unfortunately you have to deactivate the mod in the launcher if you don't want to use it.
Or type "/stop_server" in the chat at the beginning of a mission.

totally fine - just wanted to toss a few ideas out there

Taking away stamina and reducing dodge range is a bit redundant if the default punishment is already damage.
Also I don't want the punishment to actually prevent you from doing something.
The player should have the choice to do it anyway and take the punishment.
Well, ok "catapult" sends you flying. XP
I might have to rework how this is affecting 'don't use skil' now that I think about it.

Disabling their passives/weapon properties and traits.
Maybe I could basically implement the "Back to Basics" deed modifier for this.
I'll look into this.

Sorry if I come across as very dismissive of your ideas. XD
I appreciate the suggestions.
I just wanted to address all of them so you know what I think about it.

Ideally the punishments would be something that can be done everytime you fail to comply with the dare.

Adding an additional curse would probably work.
But as far as I know there is a limit for how many curses you can apply.
For a good player in the end it might not be a punishment at all.
I mean basically just don't get hit and you can just ignore the dare completely.

Effect of drunkenness was already suggested. XP
I never actually played that so far.
So I don't even know how annoying it is.
But I'll look into it eventually.

Resetting career skill kinda the same as with the curses.
It might not be that much of a punishment.
You can just keep doing everything and not use the skill for a while.

this is such a fun idea - i love mods that change gameplay in a fun way. i think some good punishments would be to add a curse (or an additional curse) to the player's health bar, to add the effect of drunkenness from quiet drink, reset/disable their career skill charge, take away their stamina shields, reduce their effective dodge range, and disable their passives/weapon properties and traits. i understand some of these may not be feasible but i felt i could spitball a few that i didn't see listed.
