Introducing the TR-400 Strategic Lift VTOL


TR-400 is a long range, heavy-lift turboprop tilt rotor VTOL aircraft.

The vehicle was constantly developed since 2019, receiving an extensive block 3 ER (extended range) upgrade in 2020. Being the most numerous type variant in active service, the cargo version will be the last to be modernised to the 2021 format.

Vehicle roll-on roll-off capability with aircraft kneel feature.

Powerplant: 2x Turbofan jets; powering 4x coaxial contra-rotating heavy rotors.

Huge internal cargo space (19W 16H 54L), cargo cabin longer and wider than C130-J.

Fuel: 37000 Jet Fuel

Crew: 4 (Pilot / Copilot / Navigator / Load Master)

Pilot notes:

Start engines at default throttle setting.

Fuel pumps > Ignition > Clutch

In level flight use trim rather than altitude hold.

For maximum range reduce throttle by 20% in level flight, add ~20 collective trim for cruise speed (Alt+W)
