Notice:
WEC - Encounters Reborn, the official successor to WEC - PvE Encounters featuring RivalAI, is now playable. Whilst it is a complete re-write with currently only 1 Faction (The Corporation), I have massively expanded the complexity and immersiveness of the encounters in it.

WEC PvE - A custom PvE mod inspired by others like EEM, Corruption PvE, Reavers and PvE Threat.

The factions are based on a shared lore between me and other people in my friend circle.

Mod Infos:

This mod will add multiple custom factions/ships with different behaviours to your game world, ranging from small cargo haulers to larger-sized combat vehicles.

It's recommended to use this in combination with other PvE mods like "Corruption - PvE Combat" and "Reavers", found in the Modular Encounters Collection.

The mod is currently work-in-progress, and I am still designing new ships, stations and mechanics for it.

Installation Notes:

If you're adding this mod to your world, be sure to have the 2 depency-mods loaded.

You also need to have these advanced world settings set up for this mod to work correctly:
- Enable Ingame-Scripts -> On
- Enable Drones -> On

The Factions:

Here is a list of the mod's factions, and a small description for each faction.


-> WEC Trading Branch [WECT] (Not yet implemented)

The Woof Engineering Corporation is focused on bringing you engineering of the highest quality. This is their trading branch, which will gladly trade goods & advanced vehicles with you.


-> C.R.D. Industries [CRDI] (Not yet implemented)

Formerly part of C-Max, C.R.D. Industries are devoted to bringing you high-quality & aesthetically-pleasing vehicles. They will gladly sell you a variety of engineering goods and vehicles, for the right price.


-> C-Max [CMAX] (Partially implemented)

Now a rogue version of C.R.D. Industries, C-Max is seeking to forcefully take control of this sector.
Be prepared to face many hostile patrol ships, or even their fleet of warships.



-> Colonial Freight Service [COFS] (Partially implemented)

The Colonial Freight Service is the market leader when it comes to trading and transporting cargo.
Their stations and ships will gladly trade almost all types of goods with you.



-> Creon Coalition [CREON]

The Creon Coalition consists of fully-autonomous military ships, controlled by a rogue AI. They will relentlessly attack anyone that tries to trespass their territory.

Its an NPC "AI" Framework that will allow us NPC modders to include complex ehaviours in our mods (f.E. Defending a cargo ship from pirates to gain repuation, better fighter behaviour, etc.).

If you check Meridius_IX's YouTube Channel you can see some teasers for what it can do ;)

This is the second time I've heard RivalAI mentioned, will it be like that arms autopilot or space sappers mod way back before SE 1.0? I really hope so those were great mods that sadly died and almost took my SE career with them.

@Anubis - Due to the way my future mods will work, I'm sadly only able to keep this mod up as a legacy version. This might change in the future, but don't quote me on this.

I suppose I do have some good news to share though:
I'm working closely together with Meridius_IX to bring enhanced behaviours to my next mods using his RivalAI Framework, which is in a closed alpha right now.

Expect a lot of new NPC mechanics and interactions between my upcoming mods soon, especially in WEC - Planetary Expansion :)

After taking a small break, I have finally managed to get an update out...
The main feature is the first implementation of the CMax faction.
I'll be adding more content to all factions very soon, but this is a good foundation for now :)

@Caelaran With "error message", do you mean the SpawnGroup mod warning that you can see in the F11-Menu when you press "Open in new window"?
If yes, that's from me disabling the Ravager/Scout-Drone SpawnGroup, so just ignore it.

I wouldn't worry too much, I just got home and I'm now working on getting a patch for the chat and drone-antenna issues out in the next hour or so...
