Drongos Artillery

Deskripsi
Drongo's Artillery (DRA) adds semi-realistic artillery, virtual artillery, cruise missiles, suicide drones/loitering munitions, grenade-dropping drones, orbital beam and railgun strikes, C-RAM, Counter Battery radar, Electronic Warfare and satellites to Arma 3. It is based on CoC Unified Artillery for OFP. It puts AI-controlled batteries, virtual batteries and orbital strikes under player control. A degree of skill is both required and rewarded by the system. Users can control sheaf type, sheaf size, round type, angle, fuze, etc. Multiple ammunition types can be used in a single barrage (eg. HE with smoke).

Just a piece of feedback, since we're really enjoying using this mod (I know you're not necessarily looking to work more on it, I just hope to provide some input from our testing):

- It would be nice of the module kept the current Fire Mission in memory when closing thee tablet - as it stands, the tablet forgets everything bar the GRID, meaning you cannot close it and do other stuff in the meantime. This also makes it difficult to REPEAT fire missions, as it requires the controller to stay in the tablet the whole time, lest they have to re-input everything manually.
- An ETA before SHOT would also be nice: not knowing the Time of Flight before the mission starts can be a tad detrimental, and it limits some stuff you could otherwise do (like Time On Target calls, for instance);

All in all, amazing mod, and even in the current state, we love it!

We love your mod too, it allows our unit to use Fire Support without having a dedicated artillery element, it's great. Our Zeuses use your Module, and we have one zeus as designated FDC that receives the Calls for fire from our 13Fs, it's really nice.

It is what it is.

The fact you put your personal time in this for this long is very commendable. I have started making tutorials to show case how to use your mods lately in order to help others understand how to utilize them. I am still surprised to learn new things as I go through your mods. I look forward to trying the counter battery you added to the game. Brings little more realism to the game.

I am sure as long as Arma 3 is around. Your mods will continued to be used. They ain't doing anything to major besides new creator dlc every now and then.

All your mods work well together and do not to all be used if the user doesn't want to utilize them.

Though whatever happen to the nuclear cruise missiles you use to have for the artillery mod? I know it use to be very colorful and made my old laptop crash many years ago. Still remember the evil laughter I had when I used it on the Tanoa map using them against my friends.

Cheers man, glad you enjoy the mods. Probably won't be many more mods going forward, maybe just occasional updates. Don't have the same excitement for modding as I used to tbh, still get occasional bursts of motivation though.

@Drongo I appreciate your continued support of your mods. I enjoy them a lot. I been following the development of your mods for many years. Seeing the changes good and the bad. These mods you have created add such great quality of life for me when I am making missions both single and multiplayer.

I think your work inspires you to continue on this. Surprised the developers for Arma don't hire you on to make mods like this for future Arma titles.

This might be a dumb question, but how do you load a pre-plotted fire mission?
I mean, I'm able to send a PLOT request, and it appears in the list of Pre-plotted missions, but when double-clicking on it and sending the call for fire it still targets the last coordinates I input (manually or map clicking).

I know I'm doing something wrong, but can't figure out what :S

I don't plan to mod for Reforger or Arma 4. I told myself I would no longer mod for Arma 3, but here I am.

Hey I’m a part of a milsim for arma reforger, 75th Ranger Regiment. I’m a PSG for the artillery platoon and the artillery mods for that game are very basic and don’t get much support. As far as what you have we really like and were wondering if you had plans to bring this over to reforger? Thank you

Yes, this is designed for players to use artillery, DAFS lets AI use artillery and air.
