Vanguard RIG MKII - Rampart Incinerator Gunship

Due to rising conflicts in the asteroid belt of Liegos-III between the Emerisian Coalition and the rampant Eyepiercer Hunters, and infamous raider organisation, the tight asteroid belt hinders operations of large ships making it very difficult for the coalition to reach the raiders bases hidden throughout the various sectors. They required a ship capable of taking a beating from rogue asteroids and hostiles alike as well as being able to dispose of them, while not being as large as most destroyers and cruisers. After multiple failed attempts, a small and fairly unknown ship manufacturer known as Bison Industries, specializing in building ships designed to survive the asteroid field, was given the task of designing and manufacturing the ship.

The RIG, aka the Rampart Incinerator Gunship, is the product of this project, named so for its large broadside shields as well as rocket array at the front. It is also a call back to its origins as the ship is a repurposed mining carrier designed for combat with improved systems, weaponry and armor. The first ship of this line was named the Ignis, and successfully eliminated four enemy hideouts in quick succession, the support fighters the RIG carries aiding the already powerful gunship, while the ridicilous jump range makes the ship night uncatchable by most persuers. It is now a staple within the Emerisian Coalitions vanguard devision, having proven itself well capable to taking on the dangers of the asteroid belt and its lurking hunters, making the hunters become the hunted.

The Vanguard Rig is a medium sized cruiser gunship primarily focused on unparalleled defense with fighters to assist in taking on foes for combat with a extremely large and advanced jump drive to escape enemy reinforcements.

Ship update, 11/3/2119
With the recent success of the Ignis, Bison Industries is proud to present with the next one in the line, The Scorcher, also known as the Vanguard RIG Mk II, a new and improved version of its predecessor with superior firepower, improved maneuverability and a multitude quality of life improvements and various upgrades and changes across the board.

Weaponry:

- 23x Gattling turrets, 12 frontal, 10 broadside, 1 rear
- 10x Missile turrets, 2 on top of the ship, 2 under, 4 broadside, 2 rear
- 6x Rocket launchers, all forward facing
- 40 Point defense turrets, originally interior turrets now redesigned to protect the ship from not only possible breacher squads but also meteors and rockets.
- An undisclosed amount of interior turrets to protect the crew and internals should the ship be breached.

Fighter capacity:
6 docking points, 5 of which are within the ships hangar and 1 on the back of the ship. Capable of carrying up to 4 large fighters or 6 small ones. Can also carry small miners, welders and salvagers.
WARNING: Due to the internal hangars smaller volume, large fighters should be deployed 30-45 seconds before combat in an ideal scenario to ensure all ships manage to exit the ships hangar and take position safely.

Notable systems:
- The front of the ship, two of the side thrusters on each broadside and part of the rear engine is fully auto-repaired with welders.
- 10 Jump drives, enabling the ship to jump 1900+ kilometers without cargo or additional weight of any kind
- Capable of resource processing with built in refineries and assemblers.
- 8 Oxygen farms to ensure a constant source of oxygen should ice on board the vessel run out
- Hangar doors can be opened separately on either right or left side, to ensure that fighters may exit unharmed mid battle.
