During the final stages of the clone wars, a group of degenerate pilots of Spacebar Squadron decided to make the next generation of Republic starfighters...by mixing up various parts of existing ones. A mere week of planning and development was needed to create the LARC-19-B. With some testing and the approval of Quinlan Vos, the starfighter was mass produced by the Incom and Subpro Corporations. The LARC-19-B was later used in numerous battles...mainly to destroy capital ships by ramming into them in hyperspace...

When the Galactic Republic transitioned into the Galactic Empire, Emperor Sidious ordered the immediate halt of LARC-19-B production as their costs and power were too much for the Imperial Navy.

Granny Spacebar got pissed after they were decommissioned and used them for all manner of space piracy. Some were eventually used by the Rebel Alliance to conduct hit and run attacks on Imperial fleets.
