Description


Hello everyone, after more than a year of development this mod is finally out! Be sure to read the mod page as it contains many important info. Hope you will enjoy it! - Be careful to use this mod only in Mortal Empires campaign as not all features applies to Vortex Campaign.







  • Faction renamed in Strigoi Bloodline.
  • The Faction selection screen was changed accordingly, refurbished also with custom faction and lord effects.
  • New Units exclusively for the Strigoi, 8 of them are RoR*. Some of these units will replace vanilla units.
  • 4 Custom Legendary Lord with custom skill trees, unique items and more.
  • Unlocking conditions for the Legendary Lords are available HERE
  • 1 custom Hero and 2 custom Lords, with tweaked skill tree, custom abilities and mounts.
  • 1 unique buildings chain.
  • 12 unique technologies in addition to the vanilla vampires tech tree (+8 new technologies replacing vanilla techs).
  • Large variability among some units, modularity of some choices (see below).
  • 11 unique events, missions and dilemmas, randomic or specific. More info are available HERE.
  • Unique names among the faction. Ushoran starts with 1 blood kiss.

*Regiments of Renown are recruitable from buildings (campaign cap 1), to avoid editing startpos.

Background and Balance

This mod is oriented towards a vanilla-friendly way of playing the game and tries to offer a different, hopefully, original and funny way of dealing with the vampires while aiming to bring to life one of the Vampiric Bloodlines.

The faction relies on a mixed roster of human and undead units, focusing mainly on quantity, with some elite undead units. Some units that did not fit the Strigoi were removed (like Blood Knights), while other were replaced (see the roster discussion for more info).
Each custom Lord will start with a tier 1 "Guile and Glamour" to help with corruption early game.
At turn 2 you can select which degree of corruption bonus you want. I made this because PO penalty is quite high and corruption will fall too easily otherwise. This bonus won't make you an unstoppable powerhouse, but it will help you a bit.

Balance is always under discussion and I will keep updating the mod in this regard. All suggestions are welcome of course.



Buildings

Buildings (screenshots above) are focused on the recruitment of the Strigans, mimicking a sort of a "call" from Ushoran.

Currently, these buildings are available in some unique settlements around the Old World.



Technologies

Techs are divided into two main types: one is focused on bonus for the new unique units, while the second is focus on waging war on the sorrounding enemies. Some vanilla techs were also replaced to account for the new units that replaced some vanilla ones.




USE, ISSUES AND COMPATIBILITY

IMPORTANT - Faction Unlocker and Vanilla
Crynsos’ Unlocker+ is required to play the faction, but not for the faction to be played by the AI (see below).
► The unlocker is not compatible with anything else editing startpos. Please, look also at the Crynsos' mod page for more details. Keep in mind that the Unlocker require also the Community Modding Framework.
►Alternatively you can use Mixu's Unlocker AND the submod to play this faction.
► You can run vanilla or unlocker game with this mod in background, the AI will use these units and Lords.

Known Issues
  • The names of the Bloodline Lords will be invisible once spawned. This is because I changed the names group of the faction. It could be fixable by redoing the script of the bloodline for the Strigoi, but it's still a bit complicated for me. You can rename them, I don't think it's a major issue.
  • Some description might be missing.
  • 2d porthole are still WIP because they are reaaaally boring to make.
  • There might be some texture glitches around, I will keep improving it.

Compatibility
The mod should be compatible with everything vanilla friendly, major mods designed for the unlocker (Cataph's TEB - Kraka Drak and Mixu's LLs) work fine for as much as I tested. For more details, look at the DISCUSSION.

it works with the fix from the dlc before fury , just be careful , if you take teclis at mortal empire you have a crash just after load campagne and go deskop windos
