Random Tree Brush

Description

Random Tree What?

Random Tree Brush is a simple, yet powerful tool that makes plopping different trees at once much easier. Simply select trees you want to use and voila!

Special thanks:

To-do:
  • Search box - currently selecting trees can be problematic, especially with lots of trees from the workshop.
  • Support for large brushes - place many different trees with just one click!
  • Better UI - let's be honest, current one just sucks.
  • Saving selected trees - so you could always use the same set.
  • Maaaaaybe integration with Prop Line Tool - drawing lines of trees would be so much better with some randomization!

Sucks that this doesn't work anymore. developers canceled a-lot of good mods in favor of selling DLCs

If this had presets or even just the ability to turn the mod on-off in game it would be perfect. Yeahthe UI isn't great, but it works. The only problem is having to go through the entire UI turning every tree off once you want to return to normal function.

I wish someone would update this, maybe along with a prop-line-tool like functionality for rows of random trees.

This works for me. It appears when I click the Tree Brush (mod) button. I also have Advanced Landscaping Tools (mod) installed.

It seems to paint one tree type the first time that I click and drag with a brush. Then another tree type when I click and drag the next time.. And so on. Is that normal? Or can you click and drag and have it plant multiple tree types at once?

Also, it seems to paint smaller plants on the outside edge of the forest or in the front from my view. Not sure why, but any explanation is helpful.

How can I use this tool? I have it included in the game but there is no tool box or such visible.

Is it possible to have an on/off button for it? Its great when i want to fill in areas, but if i want the same tree/bush it doesn't work, even if ive got the one tree selected.
