Initial bloom effect when enabling NVG is once again blinding and lasts at least 5 seconds, the entire screen goes white for the duration. Any light source is once again blinding. One light bulb blocks out entire rooms or hallways again.
I still like the mod but if it could be re-adjusted that would be awesome.
Like I suggested before, maybe 2 versions would be better? This one the way it is now, and another version with the vast reduction in the bloom effect that I and my regulars like so much.
Either way I still appreciate your efforts and work. This isn't meant to be a complaint, just some honest input.
And to [III%]Jinsi13 : You're right, it is nice to see a modder who takes feedback and makes changes accordingly. But I've found that most of the Insurgency modders are like that.
All most of them expect in return for their long, tedious work is a little feedback and appreciation.
Also thanks to (-n00b-)ed for feedback to the author, I don't get blind in light room.
It's nice to see a decent developer-player feedback without curses and egos colliding. You guys rock.
Also so far this is the best of the above(other color) in terms with tactic. Other than that, different color is alright.
I just think it's a shame to cancel out such a good mod with total blindness caused by any and all light sources. I know that's also a game feature, but not all nvgs are like the first generations that were so susceptible to light.
I was never issued night vision gear so I can only go by second hand accounts from people I spoke to back int the late 70s and what I read lately in articles and so forth, but at least for the sake of gameplay less blinding whiteout would be much more enjoyable. Maybe a happy medium where there is still lens flare, just not near as much. Otherwise we just end up not using it and relying on our flashlights, which no longer work near as well as they used to.
Among the configuration parameters of the NVG, I have reduced the value of the blur parameter as much as possible, but slightly increased the overall brightness.
But in any case, night vision is not very suitable for high-intensity lighting to some extent, so it is difficult for me to change the place where "the bright place is not so bright" and "want to make the black place Brighter," the trade-off between the two.
Thanks for your suggestion, I will try to lower the value of the bloom.
