Description
8.8.2019 Note: Drag profile of this station seems to have changed, launch no longer reliable.
Please check for new version that can be smoothly launched: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1828324416

Space Station "Elbe" is designed as a long-term orbital outpost for Munar expedition operations. It’s an international cooperation programm started by ESA, and the station itself is directly developed from the ESA Space Station "Donau" (aka "Danube"). Main difference is the replacement of some expensive construction materials. (See also: DLC-Free Initiative) It features a rotating ring structure which provides variable artificial gravity in form of centrifugal force for crew comfort and scientific needs. These two space stations are named after major rivers in Europe.

Key Features
-Compact and flat all-in-one ring station
-Integraded fuel storage (1 Orange Tank) and propulsion system
-1031m/s dV and 0.20 TWR (Kerbin Orbit) with full fuel level
-Integraded science lab and orbital science instruments
-5 universal docking ports (0.625m + 1.25m)
-Large amount of reaction wheels provide sufficient rotation torgue
-Edited RCS supply priorities, refueling is simplified (larger tanks will be drained at first, no need to fill a lot of small tanks every time.)

Notes
- AG2-4 and 0 are used.
-Having Mk2 cabine windows facing outside does look fancier than its current appearance, but once the ring rotates, outside will become floor side, and windows on the floor seem a bit strange to me. So I decided to make this station look more reasonable.
-On the other hand, the many heat sinks on the outside give it a relatively large radiating area, which should minimize heat management problems of such a medium sized space station.
-It dosen’t have on-board fuel converter, because I prefer to do it on the ground and transport only the fuel.
-Feel free to modify it or simply dock expansions to it, such as ISRU, interplanetary propulsion module or landers on the ring.

Wish you enjoy and happy launching!

I gave a link at the bottom of descriptions, but after some game updates it seems to be no longer working - the station itself became horribly draggy. I have yet to make a new version.

Thanks for the fast reply. I'll look to see if there's a suitable heavy lifter available to download and tweak to carry your space station.
I'm just getting back into KSP after a long break and a lot of my mods and downloaded .craft files no longer work. Much fixing to do!!
