On the coattails of the Harranian Immersion Pack, which focused on one group of vestigial Hellenic pagans, we travel now to the Peloponnesian peninsula, known among CKII players for being one of the last holdouts of Greco-Roman polytheism. In ancient times, it boasted fabled cities like Mycenae, Olympia, Corinth, and Sparta, but now, with the decline of the Roman Empire, the peninsula is in tatters. Slavic raiders and rugged Greeks squabble and fight, while foreign enemies look hungrily on this land that was once home to the feared Spartan warriors.

In this Immersion Pack, usher yourself into the world of the medieval Peloponnese. Utilize the military strengths of the peoples inhabiting this land, be they the Tsakonian and Maniot pirates, or the Slavic barbarians who have made this land their home. Support the local economy and maintain the Hexamilion wall, or, if you're mad enough to try and restore Hellenic paganism, revive old Doric traditions like the Hyacinthia festival of Sparta or the Fountain of Peirene in Corinth. Will the Peloponnese become the powerful center of the Hellenic world like it once was, or will it fade into obscurity?

Features:

For a full explanation of features, tips and tricks, see the Peloponnesian Immersion Pack Guide[cybrxkhansmods.godaddysites.com].

  • New Tsakonian culture in the Byzantine culture group that can raid and are seafarers. The culture is added via a hidden event at game start for maximum compatibility.
  • Local Slavs, Tsakonians, and Maniots may arrive at your court or be levied via decision to fight your wars.
  • Maintain the Hexamilion wall to protect the peninsula from invaders.
  • As a Hellenic pagan, promote ancient Dorian culture by restoring the sacred Corinthian fountains of Peirene or hosting the ancient Spartan festival of Hyacinthia.
  • Take advantage of local industries, including Corinthian Silk, Kalamata Olives, and Tyrian Purple Dye - but be careful, as the collapse of the Roman Empire might signify a decline in these industries
  • Several historical characters such as Danielis and Georgius Gemistus, aka Plethon, can appear randomly via event and have some special flavor associated with them.
  • And other miscellany, such as 6 Greek-themed soundtracks, 15 generic flavor events, 2 book artifacts, and some new Greek dynasty names

What Are Cybrxkhan's Immersion Packs?

Cybrxkhan’s Immersion Packs are a collection of small, modular mini-mods designed to add some fun to various, often neglected cultures and regions. These Immersion Packs were loosely inspired by EUIV's, and generally include some flavor events and simple mechanics. While I strive for as much historical authenticity as I can, I will make many compromises as needed to increase flavor and fun.

For those who don’t know me, I was the creator of CPR and VIET, part of the HIP collection of mods, though I no longer work on hat since my retirement a few years ago. Some of stuff here I’ve done for my own personal pleasure over the years after retirement. Consider them a spiritual successor to my VIET Immersion mod, on a smaller scale.

I won’t be making a lot of stuff like I used to; I don’t have time nor energy. Thus, THESE MODS ARE OFFERED AS IS AND I WILL NOT COMBINE THEM INTO ONE MOD. I am only sharing them now as a resource for modders and for those who want a bit of flavor in their games and/or are old VIETerans who miss the good old days. I’ll only go back or add stuff to these packs when I feel like it or if there are bugs.

Please see the PI forum page for more, or the Steam workshop collection to download all of them.

Please feel free to use my mods in your work, all I ask is that I am credited.

Question: From a realistic perspective, would a Christian ruler help finance the "Christianized" version the Hyacinthian Festival? I am just wondering so I create "Christian" version of the festival as reading through the localization files, it seems really fun event chain for a small duke.

Oh... the province needs to be hellenic... okay, thank you!

@yvictor20 Did a quick check of the code, and here are the conditions:

- Is a playable ruler
- Fountain hasn't been restored yet
- Owns Corinth
- Is Hellenic, Titan, or Promethean pagan
- The province of Corinth follows the Hellenic, Titan, or Promethean pagan religion
- At least 50 gold

The first four are what allows you to see the decision in the first place, the other two are what you need to be able to take it.

For some reason I can't restore the fountains of Peirene. I have the cash, but for some reason no matter if I'm hellenic (old and reformed), titan cult or whatever, and dispite having Korinthos as my capitoll all of the conditions are marked x apart of the cash. Is there any other conditions I'm missing? The others features work fine...

@theirishturtle I think it might be Ancient Religions Reborn, though I'm not 100% sure.

What mod are those shields from?

Alright, was just wondering since HIP got updated recently.

@Elidurden123 I considered it (there's several ancient Greek namelists that were compiled on the forums) but decided against it, as I felt it would have been slightly anachronistic (though I know the standard Greek list isn't quite accurate either). It wouldn't be too difficult to mod yourself, you'd just need to change the names in the culture code.

@TheAuditor24: Yes, I believe the Immersion Packs should be compatible with the HIP collection of mods, though there might be some slight weirdness, but nothing gamebreaking. VIET should however be 100% compatible with no issues.

Are your mods still compatible with HIP?

I noticed that Tsakonian culture uses the same name-list as the greek culture and i was wondering if it may be possible to make it so that it uses an old hellenic name list instead. perhaps you would like some help with that because i have some hellenic names that i have been digging up.
