Use "TGM" console command to reduce stress and time, while increasing fun

For the love of God, to make your life so much easier, in PC, you can use " ~ " key to open console command and type "tgm" so you will not get frustrated finding materials here and there, backing and forth. TGM cheat command provides you with infinite resources, allowing you to have maximum fun and minimilazing the stress. Why do you want to reduce stress? Because the building snapping (the way it actually fits to other building) is very frustrating for most people

The snapping area is very small and sensitive
If you want to put, let say, a new floor that connects to already existing floor, the area that they will match/snap to each other is smaller. So you have to put it in very precise positioning. Nobody has told me this before and I'd say new players have to know. You need to: rotate, make your character go back and forth a bit slower, so it'll snap. Remember: not every building parts will snap, so you have to analyze what type of building already existed, and what type buildings that needs to snap there. I:e: door way cannot snap to window, or doorway cannot snap to plain floor. It needs to connect to another doorway.

Connecting Doors/Halls/Rooms
If you want to connect area to area, you have to have what I call "sequence". So you cannot just connect "Atrium" building parts to "Utility" area without proper building part. You need to connect a "Doorway" to another type of building, so you like bridging them to one another. Example:

So basically to connect different parts of building (Atrium vs Utility vs Domestic) you need a doorway. Same goes for Room to Room. You cant just connect one type of room to another without doorway. Go this video to see what I meant (at 1:17 while he's trying to connect doors/room)

Creating a room
Basically to create a room you need a door. Use doorway/something that has name DOOR for that. For corners, use "corner" named building part (so you can complete a full square room). And to make walls, dont place floor under there and slap a wall, use building parts that has floor+wall combined already. For roof, you can use "ceiling". If you want to make 2 walls high, use another building part that combines wall+ceiling.

Too dark?
If room is too dark, use this:

put it on the wall, it'll snap automatically. Then you can put lighting above it.
I recommend use a mod to make lighting much better.
Mods: Improved Lighting[www.nexusmods.com] and / or Restored Lighting[www.nexusmods.com]
It's hard to explain without actually trying or seeing. You need to actually learn them one by one, little by little, like I did. I learned them by myself.

I know this is all very frustrating to old and new players alike. So I'll try to help as best I can. Leave a comment and if you need help. I'm not pro as well, but I can help you as much as I can.

I know this thread is long dead, but wanted to say thank you author. Never did figure this stuff out when playing myself, and eventually just gave up on the DLC entirely.

Its an add on wher you can produce ammo from junk(contraptions DLC)

I have like 20 ammo plants cranking out rounds, which feed into 4 belts that then drop all of it through a hole in the ceiling and into a hopper in the floor, which puts them in a container end. It's noisy but very satisfying

how did you get so many ammo production? is it add ons?

my 88 is basically a massive gun locker/ammo production area. I dont have any settlers and its essentially one massive room filled with guns and an ammo waterfall
