Description
Merc Auto Miner Extractor (SV Class 1, CPU Tier 3, Unlock Level 12)

Primary roles: Light Fighter, Storage, Survival, Warp, Alpha 12

Update 6/24/2020 - Ship updated to A12. All RCS were removed, 2 CPU Tier 3 blocks added. No other changes were made and the stat screen shots have been updated to reflect the changes (Sorry, now they have actually :).

The Merc-AME is a light survival fighter designed to work with current alpha 9 requirements. It has an additional feature to allow collecting of ore from auto miners as easy as possible. The front of the ship is designed to center around the auto miner and pilot can get out standing on a safe platform from potential hostile creatures and scoop the ore. Of course the area could be altered to increase protection or weapons if needed. However this is a full functional survival ship and can be used as such. The ship is at 7500 CPU use and designed for alpha 9 current specs.

Survival features

Inside it has 7000 volume storage, 1000 volume ammo storage, o2 and station, armor rack, 2 constructors, 2 fridges, WiFi, short range detector, warp drive, easy access to consumables, and interior cockpit access.

Offense and Defense

The ship comes with 4 gattling guns and 4 rocket launchers. The cockpit is located on the top middle making it a bit harder to hit. Hull material is steel. The ship is designed to take some hits and does part seperation as well as an additional front layer of protection. It can be used to take on light POI's but expect some damage from hits.

2. Steel hull, 4 gattling guns, 4 rocket launchers, mid cockpit design
3. Warp drive, o2 + station, 7000 volume storage, 1000 volume ammo
4. 2 Constructors, 2 fridges, armor locker, WiFI, short range detector
5. Internal cockpit access
6. Decent speed and extra heavy thrust for moving cargo
7. Extra feature of making it easy to use with collecting loot from auto miners
8. Fairly inexpensive and requires no rare resources
9. Quick access inside to consumables
10. Sensor based lights, door, and ramp
11. Exterior spot lights + interior control switch

But of course, I was just hoping you would, as the time I have to play is due to the time you spent building.

NVM that, we can handle it JRandall - all of us want something a little different, we should attend to that.

I learned how to use creative, near exclusively by modding your craft - and few others.

Tealyn - stuck with it, Ravien saved it, Vermillion gave it life, and JRandall is how I play.

Had Unsubcribed to all - But of course I came back for these. Have >1600 hours in the Merc-HGM itself. It is always humorous how these are missed - with all that is out there - and I have used those and loved them, but I do not miss their presence, like yours.

So starting out the new 1.9.14 with this and these of the sort - so familiar in a game that eludes familiarity.

I certainly could spend the years you did JRandall - and build my own, but I would just end up with yours. Or several others.

I pray the Appreciation and Gratitude you read throughout your Workshop is Sufficient to keep you in the game, because I had proclaimed and had made good progress in going through so many of your craft to simply play them in the Original and Scenarios currently, and perhaps re-post the 'updated'.

@jrandall - I love this ship and it has been my first build SV since it was released. It would be great to see an update to this for sure.

So more on comment. I was able to build this ship in RE with no issues. It functions without any modification to the current build which is awesome. JRandall I love your stuff keep up the good work. So Reworking would not be a bad idea like adding a shield generator ( which I did on mine adding one kicked my CPU down to 88% but I can deal with that ) . I have always loved this ship from the first time I built it all those many years ago. Larger thrusters would not be a bad Idea either.

Thank you all!. I have not been back to update this creation for a long time now. I am sure it is lacking at this point and not working well or at all in RE. I think if I were to update this, I may instead want to make a brand new ship with much better storage and thrust power with all the other newer parts needed like CPU blocks etc. And thanks again all!

Yes, You may need to upgrade the core and add extenders to make it cpu compliant, but yes on the whole it works.
