Description
Ambry Cargo Transport (CV Class 1, Unlock Level 15)

Primary roles: Storage, Transport, Survival, Modular, Warp, Alpha 9

1/12/19 Quick update. Replaced ramp with new one which may have caused a bad block error. Also textured/colored floor cargo extender boxes.

The Ambry-CT is a small modular storage vessel designed to work with current alpha 9 requirements. It contains three 320K volume storage modules + most all standard survival comforts. It has heavy thrust for loading up and still being able to lift off and maneuver. I had to use as few of thrusters as possible to accomplish this and a size larger than I would normally use for s ship this size. One side effect is I was also not able to add as many fuel tanks as I would like as this ship tends to be a bit of gas guzzler.

Storage and modular

The ship comes stock with three 320K volume storage containers. Each one has it's own constructor and modules 2 and 3 can be copied to add more to the ship. This would have to be done in creative mode with a decent understanding of the "N" key tool. I showed this process briefly in the screen shots. If doing this, please note that the copied lights will not have the correct color or assigned to a sensor. This can be easily fixed thou mimicking near by lights. This ship was built for current alpha 9 requirements and comes in just under 7500 CPU.

Offense and Defense

The ship only has basic 360 degree defense and no real offense. The hull is built with hardened steel with extra protection around the bottom front and around the core in the back of the ship.

Survival

Besides storage the ship also has most all quality of life comforts for survival gameplay. This includes a clone gen, med bay, 3 fridges, food processor, Wi-FI, 3 advanced constructors, o2 and o2 station, armor locker and armor repair, ammo box, and a small landing pad with roof access.

Features summary:

2. Storage can be increased quickly in creative mode via copy/paste

5. 360 degree basic defense with 5 cannon turrets
6. 3 Fridges, 1 food processor
7. Armor locker, Armor repair, Clone Gen, Med Bay, O2, WIFI, Ammo box
8. 3 Advanced constructors
9. Heavy thrust for moving large amounts of cargo
10. Sensor based doors, ramps, and lighting
11. Small SV landing pad

Notes: I very much wanted to use more and smaller thrusters but it simply could not work dealing with the CPU requirements. I also wanted to add more fuel tanks but also this was limited to CPU. The ship is a bit of gas guzzler but has a lot of power to lift and move cargo which is its primary function. If you add more cargo containers, the CPU will go beyond 7500. Because of the need to use higher tear parts it also requires a fair amount of rare resources.

Amazing starting CV!!! For real. Good room for add guns and more turrets. :stein::steamthumbsup: However, since it's from 2019, it needs some easy-to-do updates. I added 2x CPU Extenders T3 in the main aisle of the ship. Also replaces the upper and lower Thrusters L with 4x Thrusters M in each. No RCS T2 is needed, in fact no RCS is needed at all, because these thrusters are VERY powerful. So I removed the RCS. Added Detectors and Shield (in front of Offline Protection). And it's still Unlocked Level 15! Unique problem: no farm!

Another player in my server gave me this as a hand-me-down starter CV and I'm having a lot of fun with it. Sure is tough to fit a big shield in it :awoo:

I beefed this up by putting a bunch of turrets arround the cargo containers and adding some rocket main guns. it looks like someone gave it staroids haha.

Jradall, I love your work brother. I also love this ship! I modd it quite a bit add a generator T2 shield where the offline protection is. Add Tier 4 CPUs, add 9 Tier 3 Fuel tanks in between the Assemblers. Then procede to festoon it with turrets on every flat surface I can get a total of 32 Turrets on the ship. Deffinitly a poor mans battle crusier but as a pay as you go upgrade it could not be better. Oh I have to switch out the ammo box for a controller and and extenders as well. it is not as pretty and sleek when done but it is certainly deadly for a cargo ship. I like to call it Shiva after the Indian goddess of destruction. I also use your stock Pioneer starter CV all the time love that ship as well very well done!

Thanks Moonshine Bandit. Yes, version changed quickly. If you see something listed for A11 it should work fine in Version 1.x normally. If it is for A12 it should have no problems in version 1.x. Anything prior to A11 however could have a lot of issues or just not work at all. I have not yet updated this ship so I doubt it would work at the time unless cpu tier blocks were added. I think this would need tier 3 blocks, but I am only guessing at the time. I did update it's bigger brother, the Charon-CH10 to A12 which should work fine in version 1.x as well. Thanks again!
