TREKORION: Ti Independence class Frigate

5 slot early game main. $140k, 10k iron, and 20k titanium to construct. Kind of a TOS take on the NX and Akira class vessels from Enterprise and TNG.

By now, you've probably taken one of your starter ships to explore one of those yellow blinky sectors. Once there you found a beautiful asteroid field. And that field was likely filled with pirates. And those pirates had torpedoes and promptly blew your small starter and its few thousand hp to bits.

If you want to survive those encounters, claim those big valuable asteroids, mine the shiny rocks, smash the pirates, and collect their loot, you'll need two things:

1. A bigger titanium ship with 10k-20k hp with full integrity field coverage.
2. Point defense turrets.

The Independence class gets you halfway there. It has a decent hp total, has the integrity field coverage, and good stats for an early game main.

When you find some point defense turrets, mount them around the saucer or nacelles to get good coverage against torpedoes.
