Description
Background
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Originally a privately made mod, I have decided to open this up to the community and will improve it over time, adding new unique skills and abillities for the Class. Inspired from original XCOM games, this class is based off the XCOM SECURITY Base Staff who would guard the base of operations.

This is HIGHLY suited to my custom XCOM SECURITY CHARACTER PACK COMBINED

The Class Details

Security: "The Security Officer protects our base of operations and other interests of XCOM. Due to the constant ADVENT threat they are now starting to be delpoyed externally, taking the fight to ADVENT alongside their other counterparts."

- Primary Weapon - Cannon, Shotgun, Rifle.
- Secondary Weapon - Pistol.
- As the class are trained in general usage of weaponry they have access to all of the above.
- Can only be recruited via the GTS, designed to be used with custom characters from Pool and thereafter any you train at GTS :) . They are supposed to be base security after all!
- Has stats that progress over time via rank increases.
- 2 Separate Skill Trees which add a variety of skills for use with the class. (3rd added for future work).
- Has custom unlockable improvements via GTS.

Skill Tree:
Base skill - "Fire Pistol"
Base skill - "Return Fire" - Allows the Security Officer to return fire with their Primary/Secondary weapon when shot at by enemy.
Base skill - "Loyalty" - Security Officer is duty bound to XCOM, thus being Loyal. +10 Will.


Specialised Training:

[2] - "Blast Padding" - Gain 1 point of Armor + Explosive DMG Reduction.
[3] - "Reaction Fire" - When a fellow soldier is attacked within a radius of 4 tiles, respond by returning fire with Primary Weapon.
[4] - "Targeted Fire" - The Security Officer fires x2 shots at the enemy target at the expense of ammunition.
[5] - "Cool Under Preassure" - Removes the aim and crit penalties on overwatch shots.
[6] - "Deep Cover" - Allows the Security Officer to take cover automatically only when he has moved and all his movement points are expended
[7] - "Combat Presence" - The Security Officer now provides an inspiring presence, thus allowing a friendly soldier to take an extra action.

Field Training:

[2] - "Tactical Rigging" - Gain an extra utility slot if not already provided by current armour.
[4] - "Covering Fire" - The Security Officer's oiverwatch shots will trigger on enemy actions not just movement.
[5] - "Volatile Mix" - Grenades do extra damage.
[7] - "Ever Vigilant" - Security Officer can now automatically take overwatch shots if spending all actions on movement.

Joint Training:

[4] - "Field Medic" - Provides x2 charges to medical kit if equipped.

In order to function correctly, the class requires the mods specified. Without these it will not function as intended.

I wonder why I'd need Anarchy's Children DLC? Sounds like a fun class.

Thank you for your reply. I was more concerning that i had a problem , with all the mods running. Now that i know it is intentional, its absolutely ok.

It does not gain AP because the AP is disabled for it. As the class is intended to be a generic class, it does not have access to the abilities nor gains any extra random abilities as a 3rd tree.

I may change that in future to allow AP to be used but no random tree generated. It was intended to be like that so you have to choose wisely or generate out of the skills your own.

In future will be adding other skills to make it more varied in choices.

I like this class. Both its usability and its lore. I only have a question. Why the class isnt gaining any Ability Points as it is ranking up? It goes through all the ranks, ending up in the highest rank with zero AP.

Great mod really enjoy. I was wondering if there was a way for me to promote to security/ officer class without going through gts. I us commander’s choice and it doesn’t show up when I promote the soldiers. Thank you so much

Updated:

- Revamped skill tree.

Added new ability "Reaction Fire" - When a fellow soldier is attacked within a radius of 4 tiles, respond by returning fire with Primary Weapon.
Changed the order of some skills (See front page for further info)

- Adjusted some stats
- Added "Loyalty" perk to AWC roll so other classes may be able to have it.
- Removed Sniper Rifle as an equipable weapon.

- A few minor tweaks and adjustments.

Hey thank you again for this mods. Its very fun to use. And for immersion I enjoy using them on Avenger Defense as I dont take them out to the field unless we need a body to fill the squad out.

Update: 28 Jan 2019

- Added new base skill - "Loyalty" - + 10 Will
- Added new skill to 3rd tree on rank 3 - "Infiltration" - Increased hacking and undetected against advent towers.
- Tweaked a few base starting stats.
- Tweaked promotion stats.

[WIP]

Joint Training tree - work will be ongoing with more additional skills to be added.
