USERS MANUAL

Thank you for purchasing the NARPA Recreational Aircraft Carrier (R.A.C.). You may now look forward to endless hours of enjoyment in, on, or above the water. Eager as you doubtless are to leap into the helm and get the R.A.C. underway, please read the following short users manual detailing the functioning of some of your vessels systems.

All of the R.A.C. systems are labelled for convenience and ease of use, however three systems need more detailed explanation. These are the Catapult Assisted Takeoff sequence, the hangar lift and the garage access roller door.

Catapult Assisted Takeoff - Readying plane for takeoff

After loading your R.A.C. with the number of planes you wish to transport, it is prudent to store one on deck in the ready position for takeoff. It will be quite safe on deck in the foulest of weather, thanks to our patented CONNECTO fastening system. Follow the steps outlined below to ready your vehicle for catapult launch.

1. Press the "Back" button, located on the front wall of the tower. This recalls the catapult from the launch position at the bow. Please refrain from standing in the path of the retracting catapult, as injury or death may result. When the catapult is retracted, press the "Back" button again. It should now be off. The catapult will now be in the launch position and the CONNECTO system on the catapult will be engaged. Also
2. Increase the ramp inclination from 0 to -0.12.
3. Get into the cockpit, press (1) to engage the launch connectors on the landing gear.

4. Exit the cockpit and press the "Park Brake" button at the back of the plane. It should now be off. The plane will move into position itself now by using the CONNECTO system. Once you hear that satisfying KA-CHUNK the plane is locked in and ready to initiate pre-flight.

5. Enter the cockpit. Unfold wings using the button behind you and to your left, and extend the boom by pressing the throttle at your left hand unitl it reads 1.0.

6. Press the down arrow to make propeller pitch fully fine, and increase engine throttle at your right hand to full. You are now ready for takeoff.

Catapult Assisted Takeoff - Launch sequence

7. Press the "LAUNCH!!!" button (above the "Back" button used to recall the catapult.)

8. A light tree will now extend from the deck and give you a countdown. This will consist of 3 red lights, 2 orange lights and then a green at 3 second intervals. When the first orange light comes on, start your engine. When the green light comes on you will launch. DO NOT INCREASE PROPELLER PITCH WHILE STILL IN THE CATAPULT. THIS MAY PITCH YOU FORWARD INTO THE DECK. If you observe this simple rule and wait until you have just left the ski jump to hit the up arrow, your takeoff will be effortless.

Congratulations! You have just performed your first catapult-assisted carrier takeoff in Stormworks! To reset the launch system press the "LAUNCH!!!" button again. This will turn it off. Next press the Reset Timer button twice, it should be off after this. Now you can repeat the procedure from step 1. Happy launching!

Hangar Lift

The hangar lift may be operated from either the deck or the hangar itself, although there are some features only available on either level. At the deck level the Lift Lock system must be disengaged in preparation for use. It is advised that when not in operation, the lift remains at the deck level and locked into place as this makes it watertight and resistant to being moved. At the hangar level are the controls for the Hangar Level Lift Lock, which will be already engaged when you receive your R.A.C. This ensures that upon reaching hangar level (also shown by the blue indicator light at either level) the lift will lock into place. To raise it again this control must be disengaged, again, from the hangar level.

Roller Door

Providing high volume access between the hangar and the garage, this attractive yet practical piece of bespoke NARPA technology comes equipped with a lock and a ramp to cover the groove for easy and signature trouble-free perambulation. To operate your roller door, follow these 4 simple steps.
1. Press the "Lock" button to unlock the base.
2. Press the "Door Control" button to begin raising the door.
3. Marvel at the seamless grace with which the door retracts into its cavity.
4. Press the "Gap Ramp" button to close the gap.

Please remember to open the gap ramp again before closing your roller door, and it will always be there for you to marvel at in the future.

Again, thank you for purchasing this flagship NARPA product. We feel certain it will be as satisfying to you, the customer, to own as it was to us, the manufacturers, to produce. As always; remember that used responsibly, your Recreational Aircraft Carrier will give you years of trouble-free launching.

NB It is highly recommended that all planes be stowed before moving the ship, for obvious reasons.

NB The Air-cooled engine contained in the carrier based amphibious plane is highly sensitive to running at full throttle while unloaded (propeller pitch fine). If you start your engine at full throttle before the orange lights come on you may overheat and damage the engine.

NB To enable our customers to experience the unparalleled seaworthingess of the unloaded R.A.C., this vessel can also be obtained with no planes aboard . It is called the "NARPA Recreational Aircraft Carrier", obviously.

NB The picture shown in the description that shows a loadout of 14 planes is not recommended. This image was for promotional purposes only, and is not to be taken as a recommendation by the manufacturer.

NB Vehicles spawned within the carrier have a limited range from the carrier. If you exceed this range the vehicle will despawn, so keep the carrier in sight. Alternatively, load the planes using the big red stormworks crane or any other suitable lifting apparatus.

Hi, yes there is. Vehicles spawned within the carrier have a limited range from the carrier. If you exceed this range the vehicle will despawn, so keep the carrier in sight. Alternatively, load the planes using the big red stormworks crane or any other suitable lifting apparatus. Both the carrier without planes and the planes themselves are downloadable individually. Thanks for your comment!

soooooooooooooo whenever I go too far away from the carrier the planes despawn... in the middle of a flight meaning, they despawn mid air. With me in it. I was so bummed when I found out this happened because this carrier is rlly fun. Any way to fix this?
