SH-3 Sea King (Outdated)

Description
Based on the real life SH-3 Sea King helicopter (which happens to be my favorite chopper), this is a single jet engine powered aircraft with rescue, personnel transport and light cargo delivery capabilities. It's a pretty straightforward aircraft and isn't difficult to fly. Will be making a fire fighting version soon.

Thanks to Powertampa for safe engine logic and Jeffe for altitude hold logic.

Fire Rescue Version
https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1605366859

Features

- Working dual pilot seats
- Altitude hold
- Auto retracting/extending landing gears w/ landing lights
- Starboard exterior winch for rescue operations
- Large cabin winch for lifting or towing cargo
- Retractable search light (angle adjustable)
- Sliding side doors

Specifications

- Fuel : 5500 liters
- Top speed : 67 knots
- 2 crew, 3 passenger seats
- 1 medical bed

How to use

1. Turn on engine start
2. Wait 60 seconds or till engine RPM reaches 2000+
- Initial throttle is set at 50 and doesn't require more power for flight
- Battery generator automatically engages at 200 RPM
3. Release landing gear brakes
4. Tap W to exit hangar
5. Press Up to lift off
6. Fly off into the sunset
7. In case battery runs out due to prolonged inactivity :
- Use emergency power switch located next to port(left) wheel
- Or connect external power source to electric connector above tail wheel

Updates & Fixes

- Added emergency power & external electric connector
- Landing gears now react according to distance from ground, not altitude
- Pilot seat has been moved correctly to the right side of the aircraft
- Engine starter and forward doors now draw power from an independant power source

@Vader Anomaly This heli is super old and there have been tons of changes in the game since so a lot of things won't work. I might update it at a later time.

@T. Dugger F-213 Actually, you're right about the emergency power since they don't do anything. lol

There are 3 sets of batteries on the chopper. Starter batteries to power the front doors and engine, main batteries to power everything else and emergency power as backup for the main batteries. The main batteries will start to drain when you spawn the chopper in and will die in about 15 or so minutes if the chopper is left unused. However, you can still get into the chopper and start it up, which in turn will charge all the batteries.

I recently made an update and rewired the starter batteries so that they are completely unused till the chopper engine is started. Hence, the emergency power is not really needed anymore but I just left them in there just in case.

As for the external power source, you can subscribe to any power generators on the workshop but it too isn't really required anymore since the update.

Hope that helps!

@T. Dugger F-213 I personally don't like complex creations which take forever to figure out how to use. As for fuel, it's a pretty small aircraft with not much extra space for fuel but it gets the job done! Thanks for the feedback!
