Range Animal Framework

Description
Version 1.2.1

This mods unlocks range attack for animals. Intended for modder and user.

Credit to fluffy for the original conception. I started off from their base code. https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=16091.0

Animals will not hunt using range attack.

Animals with range behavior acts differently. Manhunter animal will prioritize targets that are reachable. If it fails to find reachable pawn it will look for shootable target, this includes target hiding behind embrasure mod.

Tame animals will try to stick close to master to take shots. Tame animal with release trained will seek cover, whether they are released or not. Released animal behave similar to AI defending escorts. Tame animals aren't savvy about avoiding friendly fire, if you have a tame dragon and its about to breath fire, make way.

Supported Mod:

Dragon Mod https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1580356492

I plan to support more animals, this include mod animal support. Feel free to make request and suggestion.

Its very likely the mod will need tweaking, feedback will be welcome.

Plans:
Shiro, Spirit Wolf(cause okami reference)

Bottom of his description says hes stopping updating all mods. Someone will need to take over this mod. Anyone up to the challenge?

For everyone else using this mod: you can actually change the explosion sound of projectile. That helps a lot with all the boom boom :)

I am using your mod in my "Borderlands: The Rim", but I've noticed that there's only type of projectile: explosive fire-like which makes an explosion sound on impact. If I try to use a standard bullet class, it's producing errors on hitting pawns.

Since you allow your work to be continued, once I get to recompiling your DLL and adding more projectile types, I will definitely credit you for this.

I will not do it yet since I am not at that stage of mod development yet, so for now your mod is in "required" and I thank you for this.

@Broken Valkyrie , you've become active again? This mod has been updated? Maybe that's why my compatibility code isn't working...

In that case, I must both apologise for thinking you were still away as a result of you Ludeon page for this mod being inactive, and make you aware that the Verb Expansion Framework, the framework I started so long ago, has been out for two weeks. I'd be thrilled if you'd take a peak at it at some point.
I may, in my belief that this mod had been abandoned, have been trying to kill it. Sorry about that.
