Description

Adds the Nicaraguan civilization, under the bold Sandino, into the game!

El Güegüense: Gain a burst of Great Writer points upon instigating or being the target of a Denunciation or a Declaration of War. Land Units are 5% cheaper to produce for each Great Work of Writing in their city of origin.

Sandinista: Unique Nicaraguan replacement for the Great War Infantry. In addition to the unit's usual abilities, the Sandinista may move freely through rough terrain and pillage without any movement cost. In addition, Sandinistas stationed on pillaged tiles grant Great Writer points to their owner. Upgrades to Paratrooper.

Poeta Modernista: Unique Nicaraguan replacement for the Great Writer, which creates unique Great Works and provides 25% more culture from Political Treatises. When expended, all damaged units are lightly healed.

lest everyone know the truth, Sandinista refers to the original ideology of the Augusto Sandinos triumph over American Imerpialism. The Term Sandinista was stolen by Communists to bring about support for the opposition to the Somoza regime. A Sandinista is in fact, essentially the peasants resisting and fighting tyranny. You could even say its very notion is likened to the 13 colonies and their unlikely revolt and victory over the Superior British Empire. Sandinista is the embodiment of few against many, against the odds, fueled by passion and unity.
