Description
Growable buildings - Plop version here.

A set of matching buildings for building a military base or camp. 8 buildings included:

2 residential L1 1-floor dormitory - buildings 920 and 930
2 residential L1 2-floor dormitory - buildings 960 and 970
4 commercial L1 service buildings - building 940 (laundry) and 950 (mail exchange), and auxiliary buildings 947 and 982.



These are low-density growable versions, so you can use them in a couple of different ways:
* Create a district style containing these buildings with Building Themes.
* Place them with Plop The Growables.
* They will grow alongside other buildings if you play a 'vanilla' or unmodded game.

The lots are empty and only a few props are used (roof vents) as to be most flexible. You can place your own props and paths around them as you want.

The models are optimized and low-poly (between 615-2424 tris), and they all share the same textures (2048x1024 diffuse/normal/specular/color/illumination). This means that if you use Loading Screen Mod the amount of memory used for all buildings is closer to 6mb, not 40mb.

These do not grow for me. I made a District Style and added them, but they do not grow in the style or elsewhere.

Ploppable versions show up as parks without RICO mod. I don't know how to change menu locations of buildings, sorry.

I actually made use of the building themes already to let them grow in. Works great (although it can leave empty spaces and not always "connect" buildings very neatly, but I guess to avoid that you have to precisely plop them in manually, which takes more time). But now extra clear that there is no leveling up.

Cheers! Mostly they're for people that don't use RICO and instead use Plop the Growables mod. Without this mod, the buildings will still grow, just randomly, like other houses, commercials etc.

With Building Themes mod you can make a 'theme' that contains only these buildings and assign it to a district, so only the selected buildings 'grow' there. In this case, because the building theme doesn't contain any higher-level buildings, the buildings will never 'level-up', but they can still 'grow' if that makes sense.

I am using your plop version as "quick and cheap" housing near an industry zone, and I think it looks great.

Nice job and thank you for creating and sharing!

One question though: how can these growable buildings actually grow, if they are all level 1? (no higher levels to grow too -- or maybe I don't understand how it works ;-).
