Japanese Onsen W/ Private Steam Rooms and Hidden Track Ride

Description
I wanted to build a Japanese building that sat low on the landscape, so that it was perfect to run coasters in and around. I also wanted it to be a bit different to the other Asian inspired things I saw on the workshop so tried to make it unique. The blueprint is a bit of an iceberg design (about 70% of it's height sits underground) and it is all modular; in that you can choose to just have the above ground building or just the underground depending on what you need (grouped accordingly for easy delete) I built them both so they look right just by themselves if you so choose (saves pieces too if you are concerned about such things)..
The above ground building features the onsens, steam rooms, toilets and gift shop. While the underground building houses a Re-motion ride that shows guests how a traditional Onsen has been transplanted to a theme park!... it is intended as an educational ride and a behind the scenes look at how the Onsen operates!

  • Large Japanese Onsen, complete with indoor and outdoor Onsens to help your guests recharge from your park!
  • Steam Rooms w/ private balconies (views, we all want views)
  • Small footprint
  • Modular design (Grouped and designed from the start so you can easily have either the above ground portion or underground portion by themselves if you so please)
  • Low profile, perfect for running coasters over or hiding in the mountains (if you wanna get traditional)
  • Lots of details here and there and some purposeful angles to the outside world for those who like to get good screenshots of their park
  • Beneath the Surface - A Re-motion ride gives guests a behind the scenes look at how the Onsen operates (with a couple of triggers and heaps of scenery to help keep education just that bit more palatable)
  • Custom gift shop and Toilet
  • Can easily have more shops added
  • Easy pathing but still extensive use of arrows as a path guide (grouped for easy delete later)
  • A little less than 3,600 pieces (not including pathing arrows) - Above ground: 2,084. Underground: 1,502
  • A touch under $22,400 in game for the whole thing.

    Placement and Pathing

Pathing is very easy this time, there is barely any variation. The only real change being a 6m wide path down to the underground section of the building the rest being 4m - All is 45 degree angle snapped...having said that as always there are extensive arrows included in case you aren't sure how I did my path in this bit or that..
For the Steam rooms themselves I used the gridsystem throughout; there are barriers in place so guests shouldn't suddenly start channelling ghosts and start walking through walls.. eitherway pathing is simple this time AND there is arrows so.... You're fine :)
Signs provided to show ground level
Placement depends on if you are taking both upstairs and downstairs or just one or the other, I've been dropping the blueprint in the air just above where I want to place it - keeping or deleting this bit or that.. then making a hole to lower it into. (Having all the collision on is fine this way and you don't have to 'tunnel out' the whole building)
    Lowering / Placement
Once you've dropped the blueprint once or twice you'll know how big to make the hole but for those who want to just get it perfect the first time.
Make a hole 20 x 15 grid pieces (4m grid) by 5 deep, use level to foundation to make it flat at the bottom. Drop the blueprint inside the hole, use level to foundation to get a nice clean connection at the surface (surface level indicated by sign). That hole is generous but it makes it really easy to drop it in. As I said once you've dropped it once or twice , you'll know.
Everything underground is sealed so if you do play with collision off or make a crazy oversized cavity underground; it doesn't matter it'll still be the same inside the underground building ^^
