This grind is one of the few you can afford to completely ignore. If you put the time towards achieving all of the other Grinds, this one should easily unlock eventually.

This is another grind that should unlock automatically while you are trying to accomplish all the grinds. However, if you still have to achieve this I recommend loading up Chapter 14, Checkpoint 10 and try to kill people with headshots in Bullet-Time™ (As it is easier to aim).

ShootDodge[maxpayne.wikia.com] is activated when moving in any direction and tapping 'space'. This grind can easily be achieved by loading up Chapter 14, Checkpoint 10 and performing the move several times, reloading from checkpoint when the room is almost clear (I advise leaving one guy alive as killing him will activate the next checkpoint).

ShootDodge is activated when moving in any direction and tapping 'space'. This grind goes hand-in-hand with the "Dodge Brawl" grind, as it most likely will be completed by the time Dodge Brawl is completed. If this is not the case, load up any level, I advise Chapter 6, Checkpoint 2, and just keep activating ShootDodge after killing any enemies.

Bullet-Time™ is activated by tapping 'L-Shift' on the keyboard. This grind should appear naturally as you play through the game and achieve other grinds. However, if you have still not attained it by this point, load up Chapter 14, Checkpoint 10 and only kill people in Bullet-Time™. On that particular part in the game, there are a lot of people firing at you, so your Bullet-Time™ meter should fill up reasonably quick.

This is another grind you can completely ignore. I can gaurentee that you will achieve this grind before some of the others are completed.

In order to go prone, either hold down the 'c' key on the keyboard or activate ShootDodge (By pressing 'space' while moving in any direction) without getting up again. If you use the ShootDodge method, you can end Bullet-Time™ mid-air by tapping 'space' on the keyboard.

One of the best chapters to try this on is Chapter 14, Checkpoint 10, but make sure you are on easy difficulty as you will take a lot of damage while on the floor.

The best place to get this grind is by loading up Chapter 7, Checkpoint 10, and then killing some of the enemies until another enemy bursts through the door of the room you are in. Once the enemies outside the door are dead, look for the rails near the little room you just came out of.


Jump over these bars and you should easily get the Platinum grind.

I recommend ignoring this grind as it will most likely unlock while you focus your attention on other grinds. However, for whatever reason you have not obtained it, load up Chapter 14, Checkpoint 10 on easy. You should find that you have 9 painkillers avaliable to you straight away, so keep activating Last Man Standing, killing your attacker to activate the cam, until you die, then repeat.

This grind is easily obtainable by loading up Chapter 14, Checkpoint 13 as you are required to destroy several vehicles on the runway. Destroy every single one of them except for the armoured van at the end, as it will trigger the next checkpoint. Instead, simple hit 'escape' and reload the checkpoint until the grind is complete.

For this grind, one of the easiest ways to obtain it is to load Chapter 14, Checkpoint 10 on easy where you will already be equipped with two sidearms. Kill all the enemies except one, to prevent loading the next checkpoint, and reload your current checkpoint to repeat.

Loading up Chapter 10, Checkpoint 10 is the best for this grind as you have unlimited ammo and there are a lot of explosives that you can use. Keep playing until you have killed all the enemies who have surrounded the bus (after the bus crash), then exit the chapter and start from Checkpoint 10 again. Make sure you shoot petrol tanks and cars as much as possible while a lot of enemies are around it in order to attain this grind faster.

This is another grind easily obtainable by loading up Chapter 14, Checkpoint 10 and killing all the enemies except one (To stop the next checkpoint loading) and reloading your current checkpoint until the grind is complete. Blindfire simply means fire without aiming while behind cover; so to achieve this, just grind kills without ever pressing the right mouse button (Or whatever your aim button happens to be) while under cover.

This one should unlock eventually with no effort - assuming you use cover often when playing. If not, load up Chapter 14, Checkpoint 10 and kill all the enemies, except for one, from behind cover. When you are done, reload the checkpoint and repeat.

Load up Chapter 14, Checkpoint 10 and simply stand up and allow yourself to be shot. Whenever this checkpoint is loaded you start with 9 painkillers, so you can fit in a lot of Last-Man-Standings before you die or restart the checkpoint.

The easiest way to achieve this grind is by loading up Chapter 8, Checkpoint 4. You should immediately notice that there is a guy on the balcony firing a grenade launcher. All you have to do is continue shooting the grenades after he launches them until you run out of bullets, at which point you restart the checkpoint and repeat.

There are a variety of ways to get this grind but the best, at least in my opinion, is to load up Chapter 4, Checkpoint 5 on easy difficulty. Take out as many of the enemies using melee as possible, and then restart the checkpoint.

If this grind is still not completed after clearing out most of your other grinds, then load up Chapter 14, Checkpoint 10. You will start off with 9 painkillers, so stand up and keep taking them when you recieve damage until you die or restart the checkpoint.

This grind gave me an incredible amount of trouble, until I found Chapter 10, Checkpoint 7. As soon as you load this up, you will see two guys on top of a metal platform above you, simply shoot the platform a few times and they will both fall off. Make sure you keep restarting your checkpoint over and over until you achieve the platinum grind.

Note from Quoth_the_Raven : Chapter 14, Checkpoint 13 may also be a good place to get this grind. Cause the enemies on the first 4 jeeps and the helicopter to fall to their deaths and then reload. This works out to about 6 to 7 guys per second [Untested].

For the majority of players, this grind should unlock naturally throughout your playthroughts. If, for whatever reason, it hasn't then load up Chapter 15, Checkpoint 10. You will be armed with two sidearms, so kill all the enemies except one (To stop the next checkpoint from loading) with your sidearms. Keep reloading the checkpoint and repeating until you get the grind.

If you don't often like using a shotgun in Max Payne 3, this grind can become a bit of a pain when it comes to trying to achieve it. The best way I have found to achieve a lot of shotgun kills is to load up Chapter 4, Checkpoint 2 and take the shotgun from the guy shooting from the top of the stairs. IMPORTANT - Save the ammo! You will need that shotgun ammo in a few minutes when you are hiding behind a barrier with about 5-6 guys hanging around 2 cars (as shown in the picture below). At this point, kill all the enemies with the shotgun and then reload the checkpoint and repeat.

The best spot to gain these kills is on Chapter 3, Checkpoint 12 where you must cover Passos from some enemies on the stadium. There is a checkpoint half way through this event, so I will leave it up to you on when you think you should reload the checkpoint to aquire more kills.

Possibly the most annoying grind of them all. To do this, load up Chapter 14, Checkpoint 10 on easy and you should be in cover like so:


From this point, stand up and move away from the cart (towards the camera) like so:


Then, hold down 'c' on your keyboard so you are lying down:


After that, simply roll over and start shooting your enemies:


When all but one enemy (so the next checkpoint doesnt load) have been killed, reload the checkpoint and repeat.

For Blow Out, I would recommend Chapter VIII, Checkpoint 4 instead.
Kill the two guys walking down the stairs and don't kill the guy with a grenade launcher. Just keep shooting the grenade mid-air. He'll keep firing grenades forever.

For Eagle Eye I would recommend carrying the sniper from the chapter you plant C4 in the mall. You get a sniper rifle there and just take that and proceed as it is easier and quicker to farm more kills like that.

I got blow out in chapter 13. There is a grenade launcher at some point. There is a gym and a shower room, and about 6 guys. Keep killing them and reloading the checkpoint.

I'm not sure about blow out one or am i missing something, i only get around 3 explosive kills per gas station, is it a best variant?

For Artful Dodger, I can also suggest Chapter 3, Checkpoint 12 since you will spawn right after the elevator where you can activate ShootDodge and restart from checkpoint, then repeat.

Sometimes I did try going prone amongst enemies and I did. But when outside of combat, it's still glitchy.

I don't believe that's a prerequisite. It seems like quite a few people online have issues going prone, just like you described. I can only advise that you try to get into this position after a shoot dodge move or see if there is some obscure fix for the control issues.

I checked again, and it's a kind of weird bug, cause I can go prone in the Arcade Mode, but not in the Singleplayer.
