They added the 14 new weapons, the new weapons are the ones marked with an ✘

  • Always try to bring Kulve to Pursuit lv.6 and Reward lv.11 for maximum chances of golden rewards
  • Most (some are kind of good) of Rarity 6 weapons are bad
  • By all means, if you like a weapon even if it's not really that good you can still use it and make it good with good skills and a good armorset
  • This guide only list the weapons that outclass the current best weapon for each tree making them the best option for that weapon tree, there are other Rarity 8 Kulve Weapons that are good but are outclassed by older weapons, feel free to make your own build on them!

Taroth Buster "King" is R7, not R8. Bomber Gold Exploder (R6) and Taroth Buster "Bomber" (R7) are also best in slot for pure Wide shelling, you might want to add them to the list (Taroth Buster "Water" is still better for a more mixed playstyle though). Generally speaking, for pure shelling you'll want to use R6s instead of R7s since 1/ they allow three augments instead of two 2/ they need more common materials for upgrades, but R7s are still OK if you can't get the drop you want or if you're swimming in rare materials and don't really care for 5% extra lifesteal.

Queen bow trumps Vaal Hazaak by about 1 damage on most encounters, but more nontheless.
You are also missing taroth blaze "sleep". It wont do as much regular damage as ignition impact, but it allows you to sleep multiple times for enormous damage in hunts. Where is taroth blitz "pierce" as a better thunderblitz III BG? Best rapid thunder in game and one of the best weapon to even run kulve with in phases 1-3. Taroth Slicer "Dragon" is a better dps option for dragon SnS than xeno SnS is. Taroth Glaive "Paralysis" is the only good para glaive, and also a strong raw/para combo. All the other elemental options except dragon are better than their crafted counterparts too, even if IG performs better using only raw, people want to build elemental builds too. The "Flash" DB are pretty much on par with dual destroyers as BiS, and so is the "Water" DB, which you are also missing.

There are probably others I am forgetting, but other than the exclusion of these, good list.

well shelling damage isnt affected by your attack rating
having 3 augment sots means you can make it 20% healing
26% if you throw on medicine as well.

It just slipped my mind! King Gold Exploder is the "easiest" version to get, you're right that Taroth Buster "King" is a better version.

Nice guide! just wondering, why is the king gold exploder chosen instead of the taroth buster ''King''? I'm really not be the biggest MHW math expert, and unless you tell me the extra augment slot makes that much of a difference, I really can't see how the taroth buster isn't just better. Thanks!
