MHW does a phenomenal job at providing an enticing and rewarding gameplay loop of killing huge monsters with equally huge (or smaller) weapons. The characterizations and portrayal of the NPCs are hilariously poor and immersion breaking (which some may find charming), though I find there much to be desired. However, the gameplay and progression systems more than makes up for it. The flexibility and depth of choices and monsters adds up to a game with easily hundreds of hours of content, if not more for the most dedicated.
