Step By Step is my first Talos Principle map, wich I made while learning to use the editor.

Step By Step is one single massive inter-connected puzzle!

It was designed to be fairly easy in the beginning and pretty hard in the end!

I hope you'll like it! Feel free to give me any feedback or advices! Since this is my first map, everything is not perfect, so there is surely room for improvement!

I'd like to thank Asdolg and MousseMoose who kindly answered my question about light problem!

And last but not least, I'd like to thank youtube user Jonathan Verbeek who made a tutorial series about the editor. It was really essential for me!

Well, as a modder myself, when I checked your Sneak Peek levels I was able to understand your scripts. You can simplify them but anyone familiar with Editor would understand it to a degree which would be enough to use. But I think you should use Composite Entity to make a package of all entities. This would make it very easy to use I think. It is used in game for Messenger Helps and Audio Logs but I'm not sure if it is easy to use, I'm not familiar with it.

Ever since I made the video featuring my new mechanics, I didn't have much time to work on it so no there is no update, but even back then it was mostly done. From what I remember I only had to rewrite scripts so they can be easier to use, write tutorials on how to set up these mechanics in the editor and make a puzzle map featuring all of them. Maybe also adding a few more mechanics that I thought about since I made the video. I don't want to give any specific date of release because I know I'm very inconsistent regarding the time I spend on the editor.

Hey, right now I don't plan to update the map to the current version but I might do it when I upload my next content (not anytime soon, unfortunately, I've taken a break from talos modding). I heard that if you have the "Additional Laser Colors - Mapping Resource" workshop file downloaded, it can cause errors, but I'm really not sure if it's what is causing the error you're getting. If it doesn't work you can try asking on the workshop forum.

Hey. Are there any plans on updating it to the current version? If not I could use some help getting Legacy version to work. I always get this "Cannot open file Content/Talos/Presets/Shaders/BatchedParticles.mtr" and am not sure what to do about it

To publish Legacy compatible resources to the workshop you need to have the "Legacy" version of the Editor for sure. You probably want to keep Talos synchronized at "Legacy" as well so you can test your work. It is Talos itself that downloads from the Workshop and uses the resources. I have switched back and forth a few times. It also helps to have my TalosSave and TalosRestore utility to restore your Legacy gamestate file after reverting as the switch always destroys your gamestate file. It is the gamestate file that remembers that you have viewed all the QR codes and listened to all the audio recordings, which affects how soon paint will appear in the game.
