This mod adds the prestegious academia of U.A. High School to the game as a playable civilization, under the leadership of the intelligent fuzzy mammal Principal Nezu. This civilization likes to focus on Culture, Happiness, Great People production, and unit experience, and is versatile for both a defensive and offensive game.

This mod is only compatible with Brave New World.

My friends and I have used Nezu in some of our AI-only games and thankfully he does upgrade his Great Heroes!

Hm ya just that the computer is infamous about not upgrading their units and all the other battle able unique great generals like Soul Society have their strength update. Biggest part of this is they get stronger outside your land and instantly while fighting in someone else's.

No worries, thank you for giving the mod a try and for the detailed feedback! Again, it is extremely appriciated!
I'm about to push out a small update for the mod, the Hero Academia is now an Armory replacement and grants 2 culture instead of 1. It doesn't require a Barracks, but it still feels like a more balanced time in the game to obtain it. If you decided to use this mod again, let me know how the game goes!

A note about the Great Heroes, their strength does upgrade properly. They don't upgrade automatically (though I should really find out how to add that as a function), you have to upgrade them manually like you would for a normal unit. Though the cost is only 10 gold for each upgrade!

Hiya, sorry it took so long to get back to you, holidays of course, and this was harder to test then one would think, the computers even with king advantages just could not build or use an army of unique great generals but when I played them, it was just a little too easy, I'd say just make it the Armory replacement and it will be perfect.
HOWEVER I think I did notice a bug or something weird with the Great Heroes, they stay at the Strength you get them and do not update their strength unlike Soul Society captans or most other UGG Civs. Which will make existing GG stronger when you get the right tech, this does not seems to, making GGs you got too early, obsolute later.

The Armory might actually be a good building for it to be instead of the Barracks, I never thought of that, and it'd be easy to fix, too.

Either way, it's no problem at all! Thank you for giving my mod a try, and let me know how the game goes. I want to make sure my mods are fair and balanced, and if Nezu ends up being too good in your game I'll make the change. Having a fresh pair of eyes play the mod really helps!

Hm I guess I will try it, honestly what I was talking about was aspects that were enough to make me hold off on getting it. DX Just that the other UGG civs usally either don't give any help to getting their unique great generals, or simply give a boost mechanic, not free ones. Gonna try it in a all UGG Civs game (to keep it intresting and compare). But for now I'd still say that making the Hero Academy a Barracks replacement, simply means one free gg per city you build (or if you capture one that does not have a barracks which can be more common in nonwar civs), at least starting in the medevil era; Barracks is just too early or ya WAY too low production. I'd think the Armory would be a fairer point to get a FREE unique great general.

But again I'll try it and get a way better idea. Thanks for looking back at it, for some, even a whole month of no updates, means they are done with their mod.

@Giga Phoenix - That's one aspect I've been on the fence about, and I originally implemented it to allow a pleaceful Nezu run to still gain Great Heroes for flavor reasons. I haven't seen the AI abuse it and I need more player feedback to see if it had a major impact on the game as a whole. I might counterbalance it by upping the production cost of the Hero Academy (Barracks replacement) but I'll have to see how things turn out. I could also lower the combat power, but I've done some play testing myself and I didn't see a particularly big performance difference between the Great Heroes and their contemporary melee units. If you do decide to play as them let me know how they felt for you!

This seems quite op honestly but on only one aspect. The Creating Unique great generals with every Barracks... even if they were normal Great Generals, that would still be (slightly) unbalenced man.

Battle able, upgrading GG are my favorite mod civ mechanic, but to gain one with basically every city you build... even if you go tall, your going to have 3-5 free GGs that are always stronger then the current melee unit in the whole game (unless and only unless you are WAY beind in tech). These could probably take out fully fortified cites on their own (the 3 or more GGs), or at least with only one ranged unit. Best look at Bleach and Sailor Moon for refrence

it just started working after a bit of opening and closing the game

UPDATE: I have found the error! This is the first time I've used Vice Virtuoso's dynamic 2D leaderhead functions, and I put the functions file for it in the wrong part of the load order. Nezu will now be fully functional!
