Psionic Melee

Description
After meeting the Templars, a few of XCOM's Psi Operatives took a liking to their ferocity in melee and started bringing shard gauntlets instead of psi amps into battle.

Using shard gauntlets on a Psi Operative doesn't grant focus or any of the other Templar abilities, but it does allow a pretty effective melee attack with a 100% hit rate. However the soldier's psi bonuses will be much less (and actually a penalty at conventional tier) due to the lack of a psi amp; attacks like Soulfire also do less damage with gauntlets equipped.

Special thanks to ObelixDk for making the animations used when soldiers don't have a psi amp equipped, and to Ginger for helping me debug the visualization code.

idk why psionic melee is broken for me, the moment a soldier equip it i cant change it

I just crafted my new tempest gauntlets, and it seems as if the mod has converted the regular advanced gauntlets to the "replace_psiamp" category: my templar can't equip tempest gauntlets, however, my RPGO soldiers can (in the secondary slot). Is there anyway to revert the tempest gauntlets to a "gauntlet" category? Disabling the mod only makes the tempest gauntlets disappear from my inventory and from engineering...

Hey all if you dont see new tier of gauntlet upgrade type in console "ForcePsiGauntletUpdate" , im playing LW . After this console command you will see new tier . Dont remember if i added mod in ongoing campaign but for me i didn saw new tech upgrade for it so this command fixed problem.

Like @jahsinha I am at a point where I cannot get higher tier gauntlets.
Where Jahsinja and I may differ is that I'm using this with Covert Inftiltration, RPGO, True Primary Secondaries and Prototype arsenal (among plenty of other mods, though I kind of assume it's one of the last three that are the issue)

I've already tried to use Prototype Arsenal's "auto" convert config setting, to no avail.
Does anyone have an idea as to how I can get access to better gauntlets?
(I also cannot use the console to give me copies of them)

Just finished a campaign with about 685 mods, this one included, and had no major issues! Thanks for putting this up.
