The Multi-Role-Combat-Vessel "Valkyrie" Mk II is a small-grid personal craft. It is capable to transit form every vanilla planet to space and vice versa and can operate in every environment. The Valkyrie also provides a powerful armament plus a decent amount of cargo-space.

This ship is full vanilla and easy to build in survival, featuring no mods or subgrids.



Description
The Multi Role Combat Vessel "Valkyrie" MK II is a combat-ready utility craft for personal use. It is capable to operate in every environment, while keeping its pilot alive and equiped. To archive this, the Mk II comes with two medium Cargo-Containers, a Hydrogen-tank and an o2/h2-Generator. Additionally Valkyries armantment has been optimized to quickly deal with opposing ships of similar size. A selection of Hydrogen-Thrusters provide the ship with decent acceleration to break orbit or quickly retreat from any threat that can't be overcome by it's firepower.

3 - Missile Battery - Fires a Slavo of 4 Rockets on Click
4 - Atmospheric Thusters - Turn off in space
5 - Ion Thrusters - Turn off on planet surfaces
6 - Emergency Hydrogen Thrusters - UPLIFT
7 - Emergency Hydrogen Thrusters - ACCELERATION
8 - Large Hydrogen-Thruster - Use in combination with cruise control (9) to leave planet atmospheres
9 - Toggle Cruise Control - Blue Indicator Light shows if CC is activated

1 - Nose mounted Camera
2 - Silent Running - Turns of all Lights + Antenna
4 - "swap"-argument - fixes issue if ACC-Script launches down-facing thrusters instead of rear

troubleshooting
  • In some cases, the ACC-script fires the down-facing thusters instead of the rear-ones. Run the argument on Toolbar 2, Slot 4 to resolve the issue

@coolwave8: The Landing Gear is located underneath the cockpit.

In the control panel shows that there is a landing gear but it doesn't have a landing gear attached to the bottom of the ship.

@Loptyeir: I did never imagine someone would actually 'complain' about to much firepower :) But I get your point. The nose-mounted weapons come off regulary in firefights, so I'm thinking about abandoning them completely.

@Deathlok-L17: Thank you very much and I'm glad you like them! 'Screenarchery' is actually one of my hobbies so I got some experience here.

@sasqnz: True, its not a very durable design, which is one of the reasons it carries so many weapons. But like any ship with an exposed cockpit, it can be taken out quite easily. I'm currently working on a revision in order to further enhance protection of key-components. But given its already quite heavy and I don't want to make it any larger, it will probably alway remain quite squishy. However, I'm already working on a real fighter which aims to be a more decent choise for serious dogfights.
