Description
Paddle Steamer Goldcliff
A ship from a time when propellers were considered 'crazy' and 'that's never going to work', the Goldcliff is a small, reliable paddle steamer for all your shipping needs.
She may not be a speedboat but what she lacks in speed, she makes up for in character.

Features
10 knot top speed
Climable rigging
Accomodation for 5 crew
Replica steam engines
Working paddles (no propellers on board)
GPS autopilot (credit to tajin)
Differential steering (paddles assist in steering meaning she can turn on the spot like a tank)
Port and starboard anchors
Storage space with 2 cargo cranes
Tow hook with small connector
Aimable spotlight
2 life rings
Fully stocked galley
Toilet that definitely doesn't just drop into the sea
Diving equipment located in equipment locker next to boiler

To start
Enter engine space from front hatch labelled 'engine deck'
Head all the way back to the boiler
Open the boiler door
Hold the button labelled 'light boiler' until you see the boiler is lit
Leave the engine deck and enter the engine platform
Activate both Port and Starboard steam valves
You can now enter the wheelhouse and throttle up

To stop
Enter engine space via front hatch
Head to boiler
Open the boiler door
Press button labelled 'extinguish boiler' and eventually the boiler will go out

To refuel
Goldcliff features 2 fuel tanks which are referred to as coal bunkers. Each has it's own fuel gauge near the boiler and it's own refuel port on deck infront of the funnel.
To refuel:
Ensure button marked 'release coal chute' is turned OFF
Grab fuel line from refuelling source
Attach to deck mounted connector
This will automatically turn on a fuel pump to drain fuel into the tanks
When done refuelling, press 'release coal chute'

To sink
Unlike other ships built by brown star, Goldcliff doesn't have a built in scuttle function. This doesn't mean she can't sink however.
If you want to sink her, simply open the engine deck hatch or engine platform doors and turn the waves up to atleast 40%.
She'll take a while to fill at first but once the deck is underwater, she'll start to fill up quite quick
With regards to hull damage, any damage to the bow or stern is unlikey to be fatal, you would need to damage the sides or bottom to get water into the engine deck

Based on Paddle Tug John H Amos
Have fun :)

Nice ship. I can't help but notice that the ship has a pretty small cargo hold. I would guess that this ship is for short journeys (Like a journey of hours)

Dear GBDanny96,
Love the vessel. Absolutely superb. I just have one request to make. Although I love the way the ship looks and operates, I would like your permission to edit the appearance of your wonderful creation and maybe try to get a little extra speed (around 13 knots). I don't plan on uploading to the workshop, these alterations are just for my own enjoyment.
Regards.
