This is a retinue mod that adds 5 new retinue unit types for the Holy Roman Empire (German culture).

If you're using Pzyber's awesome mod called Good Old Retinues, I've made a version of this mod to work with it. Click the link below:

If you like me to make specific retinues for a specific cultures or you have some ideas about retinue units you like to see added in, please let me know in the comments. I'm accepting requests.

Check out my other retinue mods!

@kevin_greenleaf yes, you need to have the Legacy of Rome DLC.

Does it require a DLC to unlock Retinues?

The nobility frowned upon archery, as it was ignoble to kill an enemy from afar, hence archers were usually peasant hunters, rather than nobles. While I do find the mod interesting, I think the standard Heavy Cav and Light Cav make a better retinue.

The heavy infantry represent the halberd/greatsword troop in the landsknecht, and they wear armour. I did my research, but do you?

also Landesknecht literally translates as peasant of the land or serf of the land y would they have heavy inf that makes no sense... light inf sure but heavy really? even if ur not aiming for historical accuracy at least aim for the word to be used right

I know, but my mod isn't focus on historical accuracy that much in the first place :P

Those Landsknechts are about 150 years too early, at the end date of the game...

@Varainger
Think it this way, Ritters are German knightly nobles, some of them may have practice archery as hobby, and when it time for war, they become archer-knights :3
