CMM - Community Materials Mod (WIP)

Description
This is a collaborative work grown out of a conversation between myself and Shaostoul, then later helped along by artwork provided by Zacrron and myself. There are still some placeholder models/textures (ingots & voxel hands), but they are a low priority as the time required for that level of polish takes time away from other more immediately useful features.

This is effectively, the next evolution of my previous Materials/Blocks mods.
The old versions are considered obsolete and unsupported beginning Feb 28, 2019.

This is a Modder's Resource Mod.
My Discord[discord.gg]

This version is not intended to be installed directly by the player. However, if it is installed without a mod that has it marked as a prerequisite, it will function and give vanilla ingots instead of the additional elements.

It is built and designed for other modders to use as a base for their mods via dependencies. It has a lot of features and very few are usable in the game without extending them via other mods.

If used in a world that doesn't have a mod using the advanced elements from this mod, it will replace some vanilla voxel materials and alter ore generation, however refineries will output normal Ingots as the game normally does. If the advanced recipes are used, The game will contain up to 68 total elements from the Periodic Table.

This mod supports Tiered Production out of the box and has at least 2 Community extensions planned:
CCM - Community Components Mod
CCEM - Community Chemical Engineering Mod

If you are using my Old Blocks mod:
Add only the new version below(Gen's Blocks V2) and remove all mods that point to Gen's Blocks, Gen's Materials, or Gen's Planets extension. Especially any other mods that use them as a dependency.
It can be added from: Gen's Blocks V2 - WIP - Survival Major

What does this contain?
Depending on how a Mod author Implements thier mod, it can bring the count of elements in SE up to 68.
It adds several new Voxels and Ores to the base game as well as leveraging existing voxels to produce new Ore where currently they produce only Stone.

Why only 68 elements? Why not the whole Periodic Table?

Time, Mod texture sizes, limited usefulness. Many elements don't really have a place in the SE production chain. They are there, but would either be used in such little quantities to be worth mentioning, or could have been used if Production were more detailed.
For example, many refining and purifying techniques use acid and/or electrolysis in reality. The elements used for those things is already "hidden" in the refine to Ingot process. The other issue with adding them is many have no immediate practical use. Of all of the radioactive and manmade elements only Uranium, Plutonium, and Thorium have any practical use. Adding one element to the game is trivial, adding 60 some is massively complex. Adding 144 would never get released.

What are the new Elements added by this mod?
You can see all of them in the Tier 5 image at the top of this page.

How are the new elements used in the game?
That depends on how a mod author set up thier mod. If they used an existing blueprint class, that will be found in the guide for these "Community" Mods. If they created their own custom classes you would need to ask the Mod Author that included this mod as it's dependency.
I have a mod that uses a lot of them here

How to create a Mod that uses this mod:
**There are a lot of options as to how you can use this mod.**
First, add this as a dependency to your mod.
If you want all of the elements in this mod and no Tiers:
Add the blueprint classes beginning with "FMT5" to a new refinery block or override the default refinery blocks.
If you want less you can either add one of the lower "Tier's":
Add FMT4, FMT3,FMT2, FMT, 1 or FMT0 instead.
If you want to pick and choose from existing OreToIngot recipes:
Add them to a New] Blueprint Class (Not one of the existing ones in this mod)
If you want only specific elements:
Create new OreToIngot recipes, put them in either a New[/b[/i]] blueprint class or add new entries that add them to either "Ingots" (The vanilla ores that the vanilla refinery uses)

Hello, would it be okay if I modify this mod for my server? yes, it will be unlisted.

@Geneticus So me and my friend are running into an Issue with gathering Titanium, is Titanite not the correct refine-able for that? We installed this mod for the Rotary Airlocks mod but we are now needing Titanium and cant get the refinery to refine titanite.

Engineers, have you done the test for a long time? do mods work after the update? it gives me errors and does not contact the launch vehicles. Sorry, very sorry. The best mods!

Is there a worksheet for this?

Enjoying this mod. I love the thought and effort behind these mods, and the realism going into the requirements of parts/modules. Just sad that there's no updates lately, and am struggling to find some of the resources (like Carbon - needed in most things, CANNOT seem to find on planet).

Would love to see an update and tweaks, plus list of compounds (I've found Limenite, quartz) and what they would contain.

@DukesHound I have several and none of them match what is currently published....
Iron is Magnetite and Ileminite primarily, there are also trace amounts in all kinds of stuff.

@Zalizzar I'm not surprised. The last time I was motivated to update this mod was 2 years ago, partly because game patches were breaking things faster than I could fix them, partly because each thing added to the mod set made it exponentially more complicated. I fixed that issue and Tier 5 yields, but I had to actually write a program to get that far. By then, life got in the way and here it has sat.

@Commando_Kain What are you on about? Under US Law. The owner of original work is automatically entitled to the exclusive right to publish, copy, or transfer those rights in part or whole. Configuration files are based on prior work and are generally not covered, however images, textures, music, and other works of artistic expression are and are not considered public domain regardless of filing status. If I see someone has infringed on those rights without consent, I will initiate a take down on that basis.
