The 12.8 cm Pak 44 L/55 was a German heavy anti-tank gun used during World War II. It was designed as a result of experiences on the Eastern front in 1943. The German army had encountered the Russian 122 mm guns and had issued a requirement for a similar weapon.

Development initially concentrated on a field gun known as the Kanone K 44. However, once heavier Russian armour, such as the IS-2, started to appear the design requirements were altered to include an anti-armour role.
The Pak 44 had short to medium-range performance similar to the 8.8 cm Pak 43, but the 12.8 cm Pak 44 better maintained its anti-tank performance over long to extreme-long ranges (1800–2700+ metres) while also doubling as an effective field gun when firing HE.

The 12.8 cm Pak 44 ended up becoming the standard main armament for the Jagdtiger heavy tank destroyer and a tank gun variant was the planned main armament for many future super-heavy tank designs in development during the last months of World War II, including the fully turreted PzKpfw VIII Maus and E-100, as the 12,8 cm KwK 44 L/55 main gun.

This should pierce 5.5 small HA and take 12s to reload.

BIG THANKS TO WHIPLASH141 FOR MAKING THIS AMAZING PENETRATION SCRIPT! Without his work, none of these mods would have been possible

Built for flori1994

Thanks to LEGION for the audio!

Not sure 704, but an updated version is in my WeaponCore pack (Check my profile) so that one may work.

Notorious, I don't really upload my own work. Maybe some day but not for now.
Bard, there are a couple of mine that do it (L7 105mm, D-10T 100mm) but as I convert these to WeaponCore sadly they lose that functionality. The upside is that all of the guns receive recoil anims.

Are there any known mods that can cause an error with this one? Whenever i spawn this weapon, the weapon breach is always inverted and causes problems.

I have no idea why but seeing another cannon mod with shell ejection makes me incredibly happy. Do any of your other mods have similar features or was this the first of its kind?

would love the blueprint of the maus. then again just about all of your tanks on the promotional art would be greatly appreciated as a blueprint

@Airfield_Hime if it's your typical kind of SE 'ship', these guns are not balanced for that in mind, it's mainly meant for small grid-small grid combat. Recoil can be mitigated by pairing the gun with an X-4 charge (found on AWG's workshop) if you really need to. As for RoF, it's a 12.8cm KwK 44, the shells aren't exactly light ;)
