Karatekid1717 - The Loricariids (Plecostomus)

Set up that aquarium and take a dip in the river! This mod adds the popular aquarium pets the Loricariids (also known as Plecos) to the game as a playable civilization, under the leadership of Emperor Pleco. This civilization likes to stick to rivers and coasts, and focuses on growth and production!

This mod is currently only compatible with Brave New World.


-- The Loricariids --

LEADER: Emperor Pleco

UNIQUE ABILITY: River Rulers (+3 Happiness and +20% Production in riverside cities. Jungle tiles in riverside cities provide +1 Production. All land units gain the Amphibious promotion.)

UNIQUE BUILDING: Spawning Holes (Replaces the Granary) - Loses the raw +2 Food and bonus Food on Deer, in exchange for +2 Culture per turn and +1 Food on all riverside tiles.

UNIQUE UNIT: Suckermouth Squad (Replaces the Trireme) - Can enter enemy territory and moves much faster. They can fire a ranged attack at the same strength as a Trireme's melee but have half the melee and defensive strength. If at war with another player, this unit can destroy said player's sea resources by ending its' turn on top of them. Even Oil is destroyed!
