Make Grenades Great again (MGGA), now back for definitive edition!

What is this?

This mod changes grenades so they scale with finesse, making them a more viable late game option for rogues and rangers. Damage values have been modified slightly and I've massively increased the damage ranges on them because I like the idea of grenades being unstable and unpredictable.

I have also added 2 new grenades as well:
- Chokedust grenade: does magic armor damage and sets suffocating on all targets. Can be made by combining an empty cannister and bonedust
- Cursed nailbomb: Upgrade to the nailbomb that does more phys damage and sets decaying instead of bleed. Made by combining a source orb with a nailbomb.

These Grenades should both work with GM too, should you want it.

I am in the middle of my playthrough and just found out that grenades have very low damage...
Does anyone know if installing this mod breaks something, if done during an ongoing game?
Is it safe?

I've been looking for a Grenade mod, and this one is good, but not strong enough. By level 12, grenades are too weak. Please, if you have the time, maybe buff the damage by an additional 100%? thank you

Could you make a variation of this mod that scales grenades off Strength? See, Scrolls scale off Intelligence, Arrows scale off Finesse but a Strength-based character hasn't got an option.

The damage that grenades do should scale with level and should be in the same family as other 2AP attacks

Too little changes almost make no difference. I still wouldn't prefer a grenade that deals 100 damage instead of 50 to my basic abilities :')

Great mod idea, but a bit higher of a scale might be nice for increased usability.

Can't say this mod improved the situation noticeably. Bombs went from 30-50 dmg to 50-80 on a character with 21 Finesse, which is formally doubled dmg and an improvement. But in the meantime skills and magic of my party harm for 100-150 already, grenades are twice less useful. I expected them to appear way more powered up by this mod, and make it worth a while to craft bombs.

Hey, I was looking at the suggestion thread and it sounds like grenades can be made to scale based on strength. I've got no idea how difficult or time-consuming this stuff is, but would you possibly consider making a strength-based version? I'd love to give melee characters some useful grenades to throw around!

That would be correct. There is no other way to do it unfortunately
