Description
Historical accurate castle maps for campaign.

Save game compatible. Fall of the Samurai compatible. Darthmod compatible. Radious Mod compatible. Expanded compatible.
Compatible with any mod except other map mods(such as MOSS maps, Better maps etc.)
Does not work with other map mods!

IMPORTANT: Because of the complex castle layouts, when player is defending on some of the maps the units such as: General or cavalry will spawn in the middle of the map underground! Make sure you move them inside BEFORE clicking start battle! All units must be inside the walls in the deployment phase! This issue is only for the player, AI does not have this issue!

Tip: For better unit placement first place the units near the walls you want to defend using 1 click and not dragging a line(during the deployment phase). After you click start battle if you want to position them in a line, draw the line and re-position them only after the battle has started! The units position better after you click start battle then during the deployment phase!

- 36 total Historical Castles available in Campaign.

How the maps load on campaign:
-There are 7 types of settlements each with 5 levels(fort, stronghold, fortress, castle and citadel). Each type and level has a different map. When you upgrade the settlement you get a different map.
You must have all 5 parts.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD! Sieges will become stagnant and AI will sit outside every castle they assault plus path finding is atrocious. Great idea in hindsight though.

anyone knows if the upgrades for the Towers (Matchlock, Gatling and Guns) also affect the towers on the map?

The AI commander unit of the defender is stuck seemingly below ground unable to act. And this is happening to the defending AI troops as well.. This bug occurs on multiple castle maps.

I do like a realistic Kyoto more than a glorified castle. I don't mind units getting stuck a bit more, it probably goes both ways with the AI. But can people confirm the WHOLE set is stable, and removing it is simple too if needed (using the "If you can't disable this mod by unsubscribing, go into your files and go to C:/Users/(your name)/AppData/Roaming/The Creative Assembly/Shogun2/scripts and open user.script.txt and completely delete the lines with this mod. Hope this helps" trick?) Thanks
This mod makes playing as the Ottomo extremely hardcore, since a common ottomo strategy is to deploy your melee units outside the walls in order to let your matchlocks do the heavy lifting, but this mod has very small deployement zones as the defender that don't allow for this, since the attacker reaches the walls before the defender can sally out...

If you can't disable this mod by unsubscribing, go into your files and go to C:/Users/(your name)/AppData/Roaming/The Creative Assembly/Shogun2/scripts and open user.script.txt and completely delete the lines with this mod. Hope this helps

Units get stuck way to easily on these maps...really sucks having to spend so much time microing troops from being stuck rather than focusing on strategic positioning
