Looking for Manufacturing Facilities for blueprints?
By Kakarooch
I just want to share to everyone my way of looking for and raiding Manufacturing Facilities to get those sweet, SWEET basic to high tier blueprints. So you can get those craftables and earn those sweet mills.

You can also use this "way" to look for other structures or POI's. Like Observatories, minor settlements, and so on.

Looking for the facility.
This will work on any planet.

Get on your ship, and fly at around 900 to 1,000m off the ground. Once you are at that height, go to capture mode and start looking around. You're basically a drone at this point. Manufacturing Facilities have a distinct 4 pipe design portruding atop it, so it's easy to spot. As shown in my screenshot.
Voila!
Saving and Charting
Before you go blasting those reinforced doors with your x3 fully ugpraded Scatter Blaster. Make sure to land on the designated landing area by the Nav Computer thing. If you're going to be doing raiding runs, taking off of these points have no take off costs. So it'll save you fuel.

Also, don't forget to Save and Chart that Facility.
Auto save
Exiting your ship also doubles as a Auto-Save.

This is imporant, because if you botch up the choices in the facility, you can always reload and have another go.
Signal Booster
Once you've raided the Facility, time to look for another one!

This is where the Signal Booster comes into play. The way i found this baby to work is, since you are at close proximity with the Manufacturing Facility, it will be prompted to look for another Manufacturing Facility. Just put that bad boy down and let it do the work for you!

Also, remember when i told you to NOT forget to Save and Chart every Facility you go for? It's because sometimes your Signal Booster will give you one that you'e already visited. So if ever you do land on another facility and you check the beacon, that's how you're going to know wether you've already been there or not.

Rinse and Repeat!
There will also be instances where your Signal Booster won't be able to pick up any new facilities. That's when you go back to Step numero uno.

Fly back up again!

Happy raiding, Interloper!

PS: I forgot to add, that to only do this if your Signal Booster just won't let give you a Manufacturing Facility once you land. Since it gives you what ever is closest to you, so it's either you're lucky or not.

@Nuubopotamus yeah thanks I gave it a try on camera mode. Pity the ship doesn't move. Thanks for the reply

@m4rkf2k I'm pretty sure he means Camera Mode. You can look around your environment this way without your ship moving. Not sure what else he would be referencing. Hope this helps!

This looks great but can I ask what you mean by "go to capture mode"? I have looked for this but can't seem to find it. Thanks

Also, important note; you put the Signal Booster down INSIDE the MF. If it doesnt find another location you havent already visited, you're most likely out for that planet, but you could still find Ops Centers by placing it down outside again and using Nav Data to find Secure Signals.

You can also attack the door by air

Use a Navigation Data card with your Signal Booster and search for Secure Frequencies. It'll find one every time on first try. No need to visually search for one.
