Description
This vessel was designed as part of my Rapid Fleet Prototyping project. For more information on this project, please see the description of the world file, found here: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1499175300

The Phantom is a stealth vessel, designed with subtlety in mind. It’s key feature is that it has a fully concealed set of thrusters. Meaning other than some limited ambient glow, no drive plumes are visible when the ship is thrusting - at least when it’s large, external afterburners are disabled. It also has a bow-mounted ejector, making it possible to eject explosive components, so they can be shot from a distance to breach exterior doors, or simply destroy critical components.

As part of the Rapid Fleet Prototyping Project, the Phantom was developed primarily as a tool for black ops missions. Due to limited combat capabilities, it’s meant for scouting out enemy installations from a distance without being noticed, but it can potentially be used for breaking into vessels or installations with little or no defenses.
