Pyra's voice will replace Rochelle's, This mod is meant to accompany the Pyra model.

If you don't care that you will occasionally hear rochelle's voice just subscribe and your good to go!


If you only want Pyra's Voice and none of Rochelle's (like I assume most will) follow these instructions. I will also provide a video guide!

How to install voice pack

1. Subscribe and wait for add-on to be downloaded on steam then launch the game and wait for it to download add-on again.After that close the game.

2. Empty the folders below, FOLLOW THE DIRECTORY CAREFULLY AND BACK UP YOUR ROCHELLE FILES

"Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\sound\player\survivor\voice\producer"
"Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2_dlc1\sound\player\survivor\voice\producer"

Example for other language.
"Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2_german\sound\player\survivor\voice\Producer"

3. Need GCFScape[nemesis.thewavelength.net] [nemesis.thewavelength.net] for extract vpk file, or if you know how to use the vpk extractor given to you by valve, you can do it this way

4. You can find mod file in your addons folder and then in the workshop folder (file name is same number with thumbnail)

5. Extractmod to this folder
"Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\sound\player\survivor\voice\producer"

6. Launch the game and type "snd_rebuildaudiocache" in console

7. Game will be froze but its still working. Just wait for 10-15 mins until it's done with fully loading bar.

How to Uninstall? Overwrite with all original files and rebuild audio cache.

Why did I make this into 2 parts if it could easily be one, and why is there going to be multiple part 2 dialogs at some point?

I did this because there are multiple xeno mods in development right now by others. My goal is; If I get a little more free time at some point this semester (not likely though), is to do as many voicepacks as I can for all the xeno characters.

This means that I can include special dialog if you have all the characters installed (EX pyra talking to nia and vice versa). That; however, will come at a much later date.

The current part 2 will be named as part 2(No other xeno mods) so make sure to install that as well so you can have all the voice lines I did!

If you experience audio glitches...

Please notify me of any glitches or high pitch static noises if you notice any and tell me what exactly she said and what was happening (being attacked by hunter etc.) The more specific the better. And tell me whether you just subscribed or did the full instilation so I can help you to the fullest extent.

Lastly,

If I can figure out a way that allows for me to not be limited to the voice clip lengths of the original Left 4 Dead 2 Lines, I will try and add more diverse lines from Pyra and see what else I can add to it!
