Wilson is the main character of DS/DST. He is not bad or not too good, but his skins are great.

Recently I learned his full name is:

Wilson Percival Higgsbury

If you are thinking "I know Higgsbury from somewhere" it's probably from his skin "Piggsbury."

*His Beard: Gives beard hair when shaved. The beard provides 15 seconds of insulation when short, 45 when long, and 135 when "magnificent." When Wilson dies his beard length resets to none.

Wilson's beard grows to short after four days without dying, it is recommended to shave Wilson's beard at this point because it will still grow to magnificent by Winter. It grows again on the seventh day to long and on the fifteenth day it grows to magnificent. Wilson can easily survive Winter with a magnificent beard and a thermal stone, but if Wilson dies during Winter he will lose his beard growth.

Wilson is mostly an average character, except for his beard. He has no debuffs or negative effects like Wolfgang's "scared of the dark" sanity drain, but he doesn't have any major buffs like Maxwell's "dapper style" or Woodie's Lucy. He does have a vast amount of sanity which is good because then you'll have time to find a sanity buff before he goes insane.

Wilson's backstory is a little strange, but it helps fill in the holes of how he got to the Constant (the DST world).

I went in shadow form to Wilson's shack in the mountains. All around me I saw “Private Property!” signs.
I talked to Wilson through his radio when he ran out of ideas and was frustrated with himself and said “Say pal, looks like your having some trouble!”
Wilson looked startled as his radio addressed him personally.
I continued “I have secret knowledge I can share with you… IF you are ready for it.”
He nods excitedly.
“Okay then!” I cry. A flash of lightning momentarily reveals me, but Wilson is blinded by the light. He is dazed and before he awakens from his daze I start filling his mind with knowledge. He lifts the radio up, and a circle of equations and objects made of light surrounds him.
He opens his eyes. A look of confusion is on his face for all of a second. Then it is wiped away by his shear excitement.
My dear Wilson starts working on the gateway right away. He begins doing strange experiments that mean something to him, but barely anything to me. At one point he slices his own hand open and pours the free-flowing flood into a beaker. A cloud of smoke permeates the air and the machine is done! Wilson looks at the machine with a mixture of pride, excitement, and curiosity.
“Excellent!” I declare. “Now throw the switch!” I order in a friendly and cheerful voice.
He raises his hand, strangely, he hesitates. “DO IT!” I shout.
The order galvanizes him into action. He throws the switch! The machine starts with a clunk and whirr. I quickly help it turn into the gateway to the Constant. I possess it…
“Ha ha ha ha ha!” I laugh at his foolishness. My shadow hands pull him into the gateway. He tries to escape, but he only slightly prolonged the inevitable.
