Intrepid Class Fast-Attack Destroyer (USFN Intrepid, DD 288)

Description
This is my latest and greatest escapade into Avorion ship building. The Intrepid is a fast and nimble warship with good firing angles and great all around protection.
The entirety of the front and majority or the rear is protected by armor and almost completly enforced by integrity fields (with a few small exceptions at the rear).
It utalizes super firing turret system which allows for the majority of its dakka to be focused in whatever direction the nose is pointing (great when using manual turrets) and also serves to upgrade the ship's sexiness factor by +2.
It comes equiped with 38 official hardpoints that are all able to mount size 2 turrets and 6 torpedo launchers with enough storage to hold 114 torps.
The thrusers are all cover by a thin plate; this prevents the thrusters from bleeding through to the outside and making the armor look like it has bad gas.
Like all my ships, I designed this to not only be functional, but also fun to use. You can fly through asteroid fields with ease thanks to its manueverability and great brake thrust.

This build has been a labor of love. I had originally intended for this ship to be used early game, but once I saw how good the first 2/3 had come out I decided to make it into a mid/late game ship instead. I'm really happy with how this one came out and I hope you guys enjoy using it as much as I've enjoyed building it!
