[Description]

You can have fun with a simple weapon armory:
  • Simple Take & Drop Weapons System



[HOW TO SPAWN IT IT ?]

  1. Go into "Yam" Entities Category

  2. Spawn "Gun Vault"


[HOW TO USE IT ?]
  1. Press USE (usually E) while looking at the entity to put your current weapon in

  2. Press RELOAD (usually R) while looking at the entity to open the gun vault menu

  3. Look weapons & Take them if you want

  4. Have fun


[For dev ]
  1. If you extract the addon you will find a config file in "lua/autorun/sh_yc_gvs_configuration.lua"
  2. You can change miscs variables, restrictions, notifications and gun vault access config such as key to press

@Daddy Buddy, totally fine.

Indeed, there is no such features as it was not implemented that way. I will maybe take a look at it in the future.

Sorry, I just meant saves, as in the one tab in the q menu where you can save a sandbox level. It honestly isn't too much of a problem because the weapon I put in it before I saved shows up as soon as you put another weapon in the locker.

Hi @Duddy buddy,

What do you mean by fix ? Not sure to understand the meaning behind "saves".

I've just tested it out and it works fine. Weapons are saved instantly and you can take it back whenever you want.

If you think that the weapon locker is a permanent saving entity, it is not. If you do clean up, remove or impact the entity, it won't save anything. That's for sure an other feature to be plan but it's not a bug, i did it like that.

So let me know what you were talking about and we will see what we can do to "fix" it on your server.

Hello, can you fix weapon lockers not remembering weapons stored in them in saves? The weapons don't show up until you put another weapon in the locker.

Hi @De_AverageMann, this weapon armory is a put in and take out, it's not permanent.
If you want some sort of permanent dispenser, look at my last script which is a weapon dispenser.

You will also able to manage settings ingame.

Let me know if it goes well with it.

It's good, but is there an option to have the weapons still in the vault after taking them?

That's a good idea and I see your point.
But when I created this addon the objective was to store weapon server side so everyone can access to the weapons.

I'm sure storing weapons on client side can be a really good features but it's not my objective in doing this addon.

Anyway, you can of course edit it by yourself or let me know if you want me to help you store weapons using data file/ JSON tables in a new version.

its an nice addon but could you add json tables so it stores per player and not for everyone. its a nice feature that u can steal "others" weapons. but it would be cool when its clientsided i mean: If Player A stores a weapon and Player B goes to the vault player b could not see the stored weapons from Player A. I prefer using a json table for this.. because sqlite could be the database to huge with storing... or create for each player a txtfile with the steamid64.txt and store the weapon in it.. would be easier to handle.. just a little suggestion. with a json table you can make it so if a player dies the file gets cleared.. or u can add for darkrp the job name, too to differs between multi character systems.. i guess you know what i mean. this would be cool. otherwise am i allowed to modify it? (i will not upload any changes on the workshop just for the local testing
