Welcome to the workshop page. I am glad that you stop by to see this work of art. Check out the YouTube video, then play it for yourself. You do not need to use the ship I provide, delete it and use your own design. Will it hold up? It will be a challenge like you have never seen before in Single Player space battle before!

The scene starts with you on patrol, when the pirate station, Isopod, sends you coordinates to rendevous with the trade frigate, Tranquility. Along with the Tranquility is another auxilary industrial vessel of IMDC make. They need to be escorted to the jump gate in this sector, but will have to run a blockade imposed by the Interplanetary Mining and Defense Corporation. With this era of scenario taking place within the height of the Miner Wars, the IMDC is serious by sending a medium class carrier group, Europa. That is some serious firepower, can you help the Tranquility make the jump gate and break the IMDC blockade?

If you think you can, just jump within 1 km of Isopod station. Get out of your cockpit or flight seat and go inside to wave at the commander, this will activate the scenaro! Do not expect the freighters to leave right away, give them 5 minutes or so to batten the hatches and such.

It has taken me almost 2 months to engineer this scenario to work, but the sacrifice has paid rich dividends in game play and fun! The NPC's are fully automated, and will not need your help whatsoever. Except for the blockade runners, they need protection as they are seriously outclassed. One possible playthrough is to be a member of Tranquility's crew, and man a gun or fix the ship. I have never made to the end, however, with this.

The IMDC fleet will employ strategy consistant with carrier based capital warfare. In the first stage there will be an advanced strike of 14 fighter/bomber drones with 6 fighter drones (X-10/X-10b). This forces the player to think outside the capital ship paradigm, as this swarm WILL tear most capital vessels to shreds. The Star Wolf, the protagonist in this scenario, carries 12 drone fighters with a manned fighter & interceptor. It is a wise idea to try and engage fighter to fighter then try and depend on your point defenses.

In the second stage Europa will launch 4 large grid fighters (X-30) in support of the first echelon within the advanced strike. So you will have your hands full, but if you are able to defeat all the support craft then 2 corvettes will join the fray. This is the IMDC corvettes Protos and Caliban class. They are wired to shoot their forward rocket launchers, so a frontal assault is not recommended.

Finally, the Europa will send a 12 volley ballistic torpedo barrage in support of the corvettes. These torpedos will home in on your position and will explode with a magnitude of 3 small grid warhead apiece. They will detonate slightly before impact for maximum effect. Did I mention that the corvettes and support craft will still be shooting at you? :D

The Europa is no slouch, so if you defeat all its defenses it will engage in broadside battle. It is heavily armed, so hopefully you still have bullets when it comes down to the final boss battle.

The scenario is meant to be played in survival mode, as supplies is a part of the experience. However, it will work well in creative mode. If your ship has shields, then this is cheating in my book as the NPC's do not have shields. If it is fun for you to play like this, I will not stop you, but then there will be a little issue of respect and bragging rights!

If the ships and crew of the merchant vessels make it to the jump gate, you win! Nothing more will happen, but feel satisfied that the mission was accomplished. So the scenario only starts when we have greeted the commander of station... so can we ... reach asteroid mine and upgrade our ships before starting mission ?
