Description
OBOW: Pronounced "oboe" (yes, like the instrument), it stands for "Overseer's Balance Overhaul for Weapons".

This is the first of three scripts I've made that turns a vanilla shotgun into a double barrel one. This one is for the SPAS-12, AKA, the Combat Shotgun.

This one is a long-barreled double shotgun with a tight-spread. Using this thing will clear long, deep corridors into a horde, and it's powerful enough to kill a Charger if you use both barrels. The obvious drawback is the tiny magazine, and I strongly recommend using a double barrel shotgun skin mod along with this one. I'd been tinkering with the idea for a while, but completed it at the request of "ShadowX & Falerin" and "The Pungeon Master". These three mods are a tribute to them.

NOTE: I'm not sure why, but reload speeds are unchangeable with shotguns, so this, along with the Sawed-Off script, will also double as the Gritty Realism versions.

Here's the list of stat changes:

VerticalPunch - 3 to 6
SpreadPerShot - 22 to 9
MaxSpread - 5 to UNCHANGED
SpreadDecay - 6 to 15
MinDuckingSpread - 0 to UNCHANGED
MinStandingSpread - 0.75 to 0
MinInAirSpread - 2.5 to 0
MaxMovementSpread - 1.5 to 3.0
PelletScatterPitch - 3.0 to 0.7
PelletScatterYaw - 8.0 to 1.8
ReloadDuration - 0.396 to UNCHANGED (Changing this does nothing, not sure why)
DeployDuration - ? to 0.5 (Vanilla value unknown, since I had to add this line)
PenetrationNumLayers - 2 to 9
PenetrationPower - 30 to 98
PenetrationMaxDistance - 500 to 3000
Damage - 28 to UNCHANGED
Range - 3000 to 4500
RangeModifier - 0.7 to UNCHANGED
Bullets - 9 to 7
CycleTime - 0.15 to 0.3 (Changing this does nothing, not sure why)
clip_size - 10 to 2
primary_ammo - AMMO_TYPE_AUTOSHOTGUN to UNCHANGED

It doesn't work? I quickly went into the game to test it, and my SPAS only has two shots, so it works fine on my side. What seems to be the issue, exactly?

It's possible, but I suspect it's just a leftover line. Did you know there's a purchasing price for each weapon in this game? And an armour penetration ratio? Both, and a few others, are leftovers from Counter-Strike that Valve never removed.

Huh... guess my guess was as good as any. It makes you wonder what the point of the value even is when it's useless for it to be there. Placeholder I guess, so they could remember what it was by default?

This is actually true. And thus, unchangeable through simple script files. Which is a shame. :(
