This is basic understadable guide on how to properly configure your Computer to run Nier:Automata. (For spanish version, please contact me directly, Spanish is my native language, but not very widespread on technical matters of videogames).

I will be quick since much of the hard work in already been done by some other users and modders like Special K.


---------So, down to bussiness.

1.-This game only runs 2 cores intead of 4 or 6 processor cores.

So you need the fastest dual core processor you can find or 4 core processor you can find. Overclocking is bassically useless in this game and not recomended.

2.-You need at very least 6.6GB of RAM, since RAM is sold in pairs. I would recommend at least 8GB of ram to propperly run this game.

3.-The actual GPU utilization is about a 1070 on Max settings. if you have 1080 or 1080ti doesn't mean it will run better for you, since the game is dependant of CPU and RAM too.

4.-The game has several glictches while loading textures, so, yes and this is sad, you will need an SATA SSD to properly play it., if SSD M.2 better. (I haven't tried M.2 yet).

5.-Download and install the Special K modding tool for Nier:Automata from this links created inside steampowered.com

Follow that guide and install the Mod. (I am not responsable for anything the modding comunity has done) This is just a guide.

Most importantly, once installed, access to it if you decided to Accept whatever terms of services he wrote about it., Then turn down the Lightning effects to medium or high.

6.-In Game Menu put shadows on Medium and Downgrade all other settings to the lowest.

7.-Overrride in Nvidia and AMD control panel all Antialising and texture, What we are really doing here in revamp the quality of the game via hardware and not software.

8.-Once the Game is propperly redered in hardware, according to your desire Nvidia or AMD settings, test the framerate of game.

In other for the game to run properly, it has to never let go down below 50 Frames per second.

9.-Like I said, the biggest issues now that everything is working propperly, is the SSD. Textures are simply disproportioned, maybe a M.2 will help, I don't know, I am running it in a SATA SSD and shutters are still there.

maybe even a 1060 will work out on actual, without overscan on 1080p.

10.-That's it. Fiddle with the settings, Fan controls and Temperature monitors of your hardware, BIOS modification is not needed.

11.-God Bless, this game is incredibly badly codded and made. Even if I am the one behind the Idea of the Videogame Nier:Automata. The actual people who brought it to life were Square Enix and Platinum Games. Yet I never got mentioned or paid a cent for it, or about it.

Those are my personal screenshots in 4K, with the game actually running in 1080p. a massive overscan using a 1080ti.
