Description
A Moving Train map with 7 tracks side by side. If you fall off you take damage, if you fall behind the train you die.

This is a TTT map edited from the map "mg_gfl_trains_v2"

The map takes place on several moving Train Cars and is intended for the TTT aka Trouble in Terrorist Town game mode.

This is an OPTIMIZED version of one of my previous maps.


Changes

- Removed Moving Parts in skybox that cause Server Lag
- Replaced Expensive Props with Cheap Brushes (still looks decent)
(reduced from 147,228 Polygons down to 372 polygons)

Box Props replaced with Simple "Crate Props"
Removed expensive Train Cars - Replaced with simple brushes
Removed Vending Machines and replaced

- Added missing ladders
- Adjusted lighting for better performance
- Optimized Textures (removed reflections / effects - made some Low Res)
- Added Conveyors to Stuck areas to stop players from getting Stuck
- Players should no longer get stuck on sides of trains

this version of ttt_caboose should have nearly 2x faster performance.

(running on single CPU)

Previous Version
Average time per frame: 8.711 milliseconds - aka - 114.79 FPS

NEW Version
Average time per frame: 4.852 milliseconds - aka - 206.1 FPS

+91 FPS on average for the new version

sorry, not sure what to tell you - just tried it and works for me. Maybe you should try different graphics settings @ Rhodesia

This map should be pretty optimized, there are different ways to start it too. in console you can type "map ttt_cab" and it should show you all the maps that match that name (dont type the " quotes)

try starting it that way with no bots, It shouldnt be trying to make a Navigation Mesh, but that is possible (it can freeze when it tries to build a Nav Mesh)

path_track with func_tanktrain and parent models to the func_tanktrain

path track have names and point to the next one T1 > T2 > T3
then there is a flag " 16 : Teleport to THIS path track "

so T1 > T2 > T3 > T1 > T2 > T3

If T1 has the flag "Teleport to THIS path track" then when the func_tanktrain reaches T3, it will teleport to T1

How do you have them T E L E P O R T






I know I should get this but even with all my hours in the SDK I still have NO IDEA HOW TOO MAKE TRAINS

The textures loop infinitly in the skybox and on the ground. The moving buildings move DOWN below the surface when they are far in the distance, then when they cant be seen they TELEPORT back to the beginning, and Rise above the surface off in the distance.
