Project Monaco
This is one of a number of assets created for 'Project Monaco', a Cities: Skylines community YouTube project by PugGaming recreating the principality of Monaco with accurate recreations of the buildings and landscape.

All the assets I created for Project Monaco have been put together in the 'Monté Carlo Place du Casino' collection.

Monaco: Hotel de Paris Monté Carlo
This is the iconic Hotel de Paris Monté Carlo in Monaco.

The building consists of two main sections, the 'Original Hotel Facade' and the large later addition of the 'Hotel West Wing'.

The hotel was opened in 1864 and named the Hôtel de Paris as a tribute to its prestigious rival as well as its deliberately Haussmann-style architecture. Since 1864, the hotel has been extended no less than seven times. In 2014 a major refurbishment project was started on the hotel. The West tower was completely rebuilt and the main facade renovated. In addition, luxury sections are being added to the roof area. The final roof phase of the build is not yet complete but, with the help of architects visuals, I have created the hotel as it will be when all is complete. As such, I've had to use my imagination on some sections as there are no images showing how they will really look.

The asset is made up of four sub-buildings.
1. Original Hotel Facade
2. Hotel West Wing
3. Hotel Glass
4. Hotel Interior

The actual building is built into the hillside and therefore the hotel entrance is higher up than the West Wing tower and lower than the North facing section. The asset has been created so that the ground will not flatten as it's sunk into ground using the 'Move It' mod allowing replication of the real landscape. It's tricky, but possible, to landscape the ground to fit the correct levels of the entrances. I have provided a ground level guide in the images above to help.

You will notice the main entrance to the hotel is at ground level so you will need to reduce or raise the ground with the landscaping tool to reveal the other sections.
This asset uses my Restaurant Table Pack created specifically for this project (as you will see on the menu).

Geometry
Model: 33,115 tris
LOD: 429 tris
In-game footprint: 14 x 11 units

Textures
Each sub-building has 2048 x 2048 textures with a 256 LOD.

The tri-count is high and the textures large, but I think it's worth it. Just don't plop more than one!
This asset has textures and LODs with normals, specular and illumination maps.

Definitely this is one of the top top top assets in the workshop! Amazing indeed! Unfortunately it generates so much traffic (crowds of people on the road, visiting the hotel) in my city that I decided to press the delete button. What a pity!
